November 2017 Subscriptions Unboxing

November 2017 Subscriptions Unboxing

Facetory

Facetory is a sheet masks subscription with (your choice of) 4 or 7 masks in a box each month. The 4 pack is $5.95 a month (retails for $12.50) and the 7 pack is $15.95 a month (retails for $33.00). There is also a shipping fee of $2.95 (4 pack) and $3.95 (7 pack).  I'm subscribed to the 7 Lux masks for each month. You can see me trying some of these out in upcoming blogs or on my instastories (@allisonhunt_2).
Each months box also includes a sheet explaining the benefits for each mask you received and what it retails (I'll list below) for.
This month's theme is "Happy B-day!" since Facetory is celebrating their birthday month! This box is filled with 7 colorful, exciting, and fun sheet masks! This is such a treat for me because my birthday was this month too!

Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. This months theme is All You. (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below).

Crown C141 Small Chisel Brush $5.69

I'm always excited about a new brush. I have tried out other
Crown brushes and I liked them. I've really been into bigger contour and bronzer brushes lately, but I'm hoping this will be a great contour brush. I feel like it'll carve out my cheekbones well!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush
$7.25 (sample size)
Tarte blushes are amazing in my opinion! I actually have quite a few of them that will be in upcoming mini reviews. This shade looks promising and swatched beautifully like the others I own. This is the shade feisty.

Manna Kadar Priming Gloss Stain $8.00 (sample size)

I received a bronzer/highlighter duo in last months or the month before that from this same brand. I really liked it too! I had never heard of this brand, but I was really impressed with the quality of the product. The color of this is pretty, but more of a spring shade for me. I'm really needing to start stocking up on new spring/summer lip shades, so I'm okay with this! The swatch below looks darker than the product actually is. The pigment is there, but so is a strong scent that doesn't smell too good. This color shade is All of Me.

Naked Cosmetics Loose Eye Pigment $14.99

I'm not a huge fan of loose eyeshadow pigments. They can be so gorgeous (this one is!), but so messy and sometimes not worth it. I'm hoping the color pay off will make this one worth the hassle! This is the shade Mother Nature #06.

Too Faced HangoveRX 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray
$5.33 (sample size)
I absolutely love the Too Faced Hangover Primer, so I'm excited to try out the spray from that range. The mist doesn't look too bad surprisingly since it's coming out of such a tiny bottle. I love Ipsy, but is samples this tiny worth it?
Final Thoughts:
I'm impressed this month! A brush, Tarte blush, and Too Faced sample?
This is a good one for sure! It's a good variety of makeup products as well!

Bag Total Value: $41.26

Play! by Sephora

Play! by Sephora is a $10.00 (plus tax) monthly subscription where you get "most popular" item samples from Sephora. You are supposed to get 5 deluxe samples and 1 fragrance sample. This is an awesome way for you to try out "trending" product before purchasing the full sizes. You also get a play! card each month to take to Sephora with your next purchase to get an extra 50 points on your account. This month's bag is white with a calm meditating girl with the "It's Me O'Clock" theme.

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo
$10.00 (sample size)
I received this same dry shampoo in my birchbox (that I didn't get this month) and I'll have that unboxing linked below. I'm not picky about dry shampoos as long as they do the job and don't smell bad. This one smells good and makes my hair look great!

Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor
$2.33 (sample size)
I hear good things about the Purity skincare line and since I'm a skincare fanatic lately I'm super excited to try this mask out! The consistency looks nice and thick. The scent isn't strong, but smells very fresh.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara
$13.80 (sample size)
I love Marc Jacobs products, but that price tag! I've never seen any products from them in subscriptions before. This is a nice change! I'm all for buying high-end products, but it's so nice to be able to try them out before spending that much on them. I hope we start seeing more high-end products that are higher up in price... Not just mascaras.

Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick
$3.20 (sample size)
I don't think I've tried anything from the actual Sephora line. That's crazy, but I received this red lipstick in the shade Ro4 The Red. This swatched nice and seems to be a great lipstick formula. This red shade with blue undertones is so  beautiful!

Farmacy Honey Drop
$9.00 (sample size)
This moisturizer looks and smells really natural and fresh. I've about used up my small sample of the Fresh moisturizer that I got in a previous Play! box and I loved that one! I'm hoping this one will be just as good. I love seeing brands like these with natural ingredients!

Last, but not least for this months Play! by Sephora is the perfume sample.
This is Blush by My Burberry. This has a sweet floral scent.

Final Thoughts:
I'm a little torn on this months. It might be because of how amazing last months was or that I wanted to see more makeup in this months box. I was a little bummed to get a repeat product, but that wasn't from Play! last time. Overall, this was a pretty good box.

Bag Total Value: $38.33  Plus perfume sample

Boxy Charm

Boxy Charm is a $21 monthly subscription beauty box that normally is worth over $100! They also have a 3 month and 6 month program so you can pay for 3-6 months at a time and save a little money. I'm enrolled for every 3 months for $59. This means I just pay in advance for 3 months of boxes. After 3 months I'll be charged the $59 again for the next three.
Boxy Charm is really hyped about on social media and any beauty platforms for subscription boxes. Everyone literally says, "I don't know how they do it" because they send all full size and some high-end products at their low cost!
This month's theme is Sweater Weather and this box looks pretty promising!

Luxie Beauty Quad Eye Travel Set
$32.00

I'm already a huge fan of Luxie Beauty brushes! I've received
some in past Ipsy Glam Bags, so this is exciting! I prefer
full size brushes, but these would be really handy for vactions
or traveling in general. Their quality looks just as great as
my other brushes by Luxie Beauty.
(I linked Luxie Beauty above, but I'm assuming
this was a Boxy Charm exclusive set)
Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray
$31.00

This is so exciting to receive! I've fallen in love with setting
sprays this year and to receive a full-size from a nice brand is
amazing! The mist on this one is so fine that you can only see a
blur below. This is suppose to make you glow like a greek god.
I can't wait to try it out!

WinkyLux Kitten Palette
$25.00

If this box wasn't already amazing, it definitely is now! If you
couldn't tell from my beauty blogs already, I'm a sucker for
eye palettes. I've never heard of WinkyLux, but I can't wait to see how
good these shadows are!

LAQA & CO. Cloud Lips
$17.00

This is another brand I've never heard of, but the packaging on these
lipsticks is so gorgeous! I received the shade storm, which is a great
autumn shade. It swatched beautifully and very pigmented.

KNC Beauty Collagen Lip Masks
$15.00

I've always wanted to try lip masks, but I never think about it unless
I see someone using them on a little instagram short video and then I
forget. I'll definitely will be trying these out, but let me know if you have
a lip mask favorite!

Final Thoughts:

This is an amazing box this month! Boxy Charm has blown my mind with the product selection!
I'm once again so excited to see what they come up with for next month!

Box Total Value: $120.00

Morphe Me

Morphe Me is a monthly makeup brush subscription.
This brush subscription is $19.99 a month and it claims to send brushes around the $30.00 mark.   This month's theme is FriendsGiving and comes with one face brush, one eye brush, and one lip brush.

E41
$23.00
I can't get over how big and fluffy this powder brush is! I don't own a brush near as big as this one. I've really been loving my powder brush from It! Cosmetics, but I'll have to set that one aside for a little while to try this beauty out! The brush I linked above looks a little different (style wise), but it's the same E41.

E28
$7.00

Fluffy crease blenders are my favorite eye brushes! This one is so soft and really good quality. I hope using this brush is just as good as my first impressions on it.

E19
$5.00
I only have a couple lip brushes, so it's nice to add more to my collection. I don't use them all that often, but when I use a lip palette they're so handy! Plus you get way more color pay-off than just using your finger.

Final Thoughts:
I wish there was more than 3 brushes this month, but the value of the powder brush makes it worth it! I'm so excited to try all these out. I'm very happy with this months selection!

November's Morphe Me Value: $35.00

Kiss Me

Kiss Me is another subscription through LiveGlam. This is also $19.99 (a month) and you receive 3 new lippies each month. They a 3 new shades that have never been sent before. These are created through LiveGlam so you won't be receiving other brand lipsticks, but the quality of these are really good and smell just like cupcakes! Since these are one time shades I won't be able to link these. You can always subscribe and trade out colors for previous months. I'll link that below.

This month is Fall In Love and comes with three very wearable shades.

Soulmate / liquid lipstick / soft lavender shade

Bae / liquid lipstick / pinky mauve shade

Girlfriend / liquid lipstick / bright pink with red undertones

Final Thoughts:
These have to be my most favorite shades I've received from this subscription so far! They're all so wearable, even the bright pink shade. It has just the right red undertones, but I will be wearing these in future looks to see if they are as wearable as they look swatched!

Lip Monthly

Lip Monthly is exactly that. Every month you receive 4-5  products. Every product is a lip item except one and that item can be any kind of product beauty related. This is a $12.95 subscription bag. If you use the code "Liplover" you can receive your first bag for only $5! This months theme is Thankful for You and they also included a coupon code (LIPMONTHLY) for 40% off any order placed on Appeal Cosmetics

Lord & Berry Lip and Cheek Crayon
$24.00

I've gotten one of their lip liners in a previous subscription and I still use it!
This pencil seems to be really creamy for being in a pencil form and the shade
is beautiful. I got the shade Rose and it is a pretty pink with a little bit of
red undertones in it.
(I linked their website above, but I wasn't able to find this exact lip
crayon for some reason.)

Starlooks Lipstick
$19.00

I'm not sure how to feel about this product. From what I was told when signing up
for Lip Monthly I would only be receiving full-size lip products. That was why I
was okay with spending $12.95 a month on it. Otherwise it would be samples and I
already have my Play! and Ipsy subscriptions for that. This isn't a full-size lipstick and
there is no way this size lipstick is the price it says (above) on the card that came in
the bag. The shade is pretty interesting and a little patchy when swatched.
I got the shade Vin Petillant. It looks like a metallic burnt orange shade.

Appeal Cosmetics Ultra Shine Liquid Lipstick
$21.00

This is more of the full-size that you would hope to see when they claim to only
send full-size. I mentioned it last month, but again it looks as if they send mosty
indie brands and therefor I normally have never heard of these brands. I still find it
nice for a change to discover up and coming brands that just might be amazing!
This shade is so bright and pretty! It'll make a pretty spring shade. This is in the
shade vixen. This is a hot pink shade with red undertones that make it look more red
in the pictures. It swatched really well!

Be a Bombshell Single Eyeshadow
$7.00

I have tried this brand before and I really don't remember what products they were.
I just remember the name of this brand from previous subscriptions. I don't
remember the products being amazing, but not bad either. This eye shadow,
in the shade Mardi Gras, on the other hand wasn't great when swatched. It
might be better on the eyes and I will give it a chance, but I'm not impressed
so far. Not only was it so faint with hardly any pigment, but it was also patchy.
The swatch below is what it was after "building" the shade up some.

 Final Thoughts:
I'm not too impressed like I was last month with Lip Monthly. I'm still excited about the ultra shine
liquid lipstick and the Lord & Berry pencil might be good, but I feel like the quality of the others could be better.

Total Bag Value: $71.00

Tower 28 Beauty | Makeup

To the brand that has opened my eyes to a creative outlet while thinking of my skin all the time. Tower 28 Beauty has proved to me that you can have fun with makeup while taking your skin into consideration the entire time. While it's still fun to dip into all my other makeup I have found so much joy in my lightweight makeup ways. The shift happened after trying more cream products and Tower 28 has been one of them. I eyed the beauty of this brand for a while and then took the plunge with their cream bronzer, Bronzino in the shade Sun Coast (the lightest to go with my fair complexion), Beach Please Balm Blush in the shade Power Hour , and a couple of their ShineOn Lip Jellies (Almond & Cashew) .  Their creams are balms so you get a full shine to your look. They not only make your skin look glossy and healthy but also vibrant with the pigment. The blushes really pack a punch in pigment and can be worn as a flush of color or built-up. The bronzer is a little less pigmented th

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Alamar Cosmetics Spanglish | Makeup

I've been loving Alamar since it started and I love to see how far they have come. It's an indie brand I will always recommend so to then get their products in Boxycharm or Boxy Pop Up sales its a win win! That's how I got my Spanglish palette . You can already see this is an Ally palette by the purples! It's a gorgeous one with buttery mattes and stunning metallics. I also appreciate the subtle browns while also having the pops of color too. I found the color story pretty, but also odd. It's not one you see a lot but it does work. I have also found myself creating unique shades by mixing shades together. It's definitely a cute summer moment that you won't be disappointed with.  Swatches left to right: Pero Like, Eres Un Show, Tiene Swing, Guao, Ay Que Cute, Jajaja, Muy Excited, & Ponte Hyper.  Did you miss these blogs?  Lizzie McGuire x ColourPop | Makeup KVD Beauty Edge of Reality | Makeup Beautbean x Shroud It's Freakin' Bats | Makeup I als
