Maybelline Matte + Poreless // Foundation Review

Maybelline Matte + Poreless // Foundation Review  This is an oldie for sure. I use to love this foundation as a teenager and then forgot about it once I started using more high-end options. I bought this a few months back and I'm not sure what products I used with it, but while applying this it looked so awful I completely wiped it off and restarted my makeup. I threw it in the drawer and thought "what was I thinking back then?!"  Fast forward to now and other beauty influencers are still raving about this drugstore foundation. In particular, Desi Perkins, who always has the best foundation application going on. I decided to try this out again. Not sure what changed, but it applied great! The coverage was there. I actually poured out way too much product! This shade matches me nicely and this wore amazingly! I've been keeping around my forehead more natural and letting the freckles show through, but I worked up the coverage in other places that to me wa

Roses // Floral Series

Roses // Floral Series    I've always loved "inspo" looks based off series and I've watched plenty of videos of them, as well as seen many on Instagram. I wanted to try my hand at one. Although, I think creating looks from shows/movies for inspiration is really cool, I still wanted to keep my first "series" a little simpler. I've seen so many series of gemstones and really like the idea of it, but instead I thought I would try to do one that I personally haven't seen before. Even though I'm highly sure a floral one has been done. I want to keep the inspo just from the actual image of a flower and create a look based off of it!  A series is such a fun idea and it really is a great way to get creative, especially on the days when you feel repetitive with your makeup and want a change.  For the next couple of months (every other Thursday blog) I will be creating looks from floral images and I think it's perfect for the spring time

Morphe 9C Jewel Crew // Palette Review

Morphe 9C Jewel Crew // Palette Review I know it's not a Saturday, but I have a palette review for you guys that was suppose to go up Saturday!  I've mentioned this palette in several looks on my blog and youtube (linked below!) while trying it out. I was intrigued by these smaller palettes from Morphe. This palette is super pretty, a little powdery, and not as pigmented as I would like. Overall it is still a decent one. This would be a handy traveling palette not to mention they have a few other small palettes in different shade ranges so you can find one that suits you! The idea of these and what I have mentioned sounds great, right? This is where the bomb drops..... These shadows wear.. I kid you not... 3 hours. Thats it.  Yeah, my mind was blown. I personally haven't tried too many of Morphe's larger palettes besides the Jaclyn Hill Palette (which I adore!), but I hear amazing things about them. They're on my list of the next palettes to try out f

It Cosmetics CC + Illumination // Foundation Review

It Cosmetics CC + Illumination // Foundation Review I've been trying out this CC cream for a couple months now and I'm loving it! I've never been a huge fan of CC creams in the past because of the lack of coverage. I also wasn't all about taking care of my skin like I am now. This spring I made the decision to cut back on foundations and heavy wear products for more lightweight and skin friendly products at least for the summer time. Who wants such heavy makeup or the feeling of a full coverage foundation melting off your face in the heat? Not me. That's when I looked more into this product. Disclaimer, I haven't tried out their original CC cream. I definitely want to now, but I went with the illumination for more luminosity and dewy looking skin. This is the highest coverage I have ever gotten from a CC cream! It really is there! You can wear this product as light coverage that builds to full coverage depending on how much product you use. Which you
