Ruby | Gemstones Series

Ruby | Gemstones Series   It's time for another gemstone. Today we have  ruby   which is my husbands birthstone and also my favorite shade next to black. Ha! I wanted ruby to be dramatic, bold, and shimmery.  *If this is the first gemstone look you have seen the others will be linked below, but the idea is creating looks based on gemstones every week and the challenge (not really) using the ColourPop So Jaded palette to create the eye look.  ✖️Brows: ABH Brow Definer (Taupe) & Clear Brow Gel ✖️Eyes: JSC Velour Liquid Lipstick (Redrum) ColourPop So Jaded Palette (Moonstone & Ruby) It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara I first wanted to create a bold base/outline in red. I used an eyeshadow brush and a Velour Liquid Lipstick from JSC that claims to be eye-safe and have worked well for me when putting them on my eyes in the past as color eyeliner. I went bold with a cat eye shape.  To finish up the eyeshadow I highlighted the inner corner and brow bone with Moonstone and then pr

Ace Beaute Flair Palette | Makeup

Ace Beaute Flair Palette | Makeup Flair Palette Do you see these shades?! Ace Beaute has been a game changer and is making me want (and buy) more indie products! Indie brands are taking over and I love to see it!  This palette is so unique and beautiful to me. The undertones and everything about this reminds me of fall and I know it'll be a go-to fall palette with color in it! This palette has 11 mattes and 4 metallics which I'm actually okay with. The mattes are the winners in my book with this palette and their formula. They blend so well and the pigment is insane. The metallics are thicker buttery like in consistency, but apply amazing over the mattes and make any look pop.  I recently did a palette bingo with this one. It was so much fun since this is such an interesting color story to play with unknowingly what shades you'll get. I got creative with it and can't wait to dip back into it.  Swatches left to right: Saffron, Mirage, Aubergine, Mulberry, Biscotti, Cide

Diamond | Gemstone Series

Diamond | Gemstone Series It's time for another gemstone. Today we have diamond which might have been hard to figure out from the pictures. Hear me out, I wanted something simple, bright, shiny, and pretty. But I also wanted it to be an actual look. So the shiny diamond shade was used, but a white wing liner moment brightened the whole look up even more!  *If this is the first gemstone look you have seen the others will be linked below, but the idea is creating looks based on gemstones every week and the challenge (not really) using only the ColourPop So Jaded palette to create the eye look.  ✖️Brows:  Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer (Taupe)  ✖️Eyes: Mac Cosmetics Paint Pot (Painterly) ColourPop So Jaded Palette (My Precious, Flourite, Pearl, & Diamond) Nyx Cosmetics White Liquid Liner Pretty Vulgar Faux Reals Mascara I used My Precious as an entire eye base shade before highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with Pearl .
