September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag Review & Try On

September 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my August  2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below).

I originally got my September Ipsy Glam Bag around mid-month, but I'm just now reviewing it because this was going to be the month I branched out and reviewed more subscriptions. This is not happening due to the fact that those subscriptions are delayed in the shipping process. I'm hoping to get reviews on them up towards the end of this week. To jump into this months bag  it is super cute and has a sexy vibe to it. It has the look and feel of leather and has little spikes all over. This theme as you can see, is LIKE. A. BOSS.
I did decide to throw a look in this blog using each product I received like I normally do.

Ciate London Wonderwand Mascara.

Bio fresh Mask with real calming herbs.
I tried this mask out last night after I had washed my face. I loved the fact that it really is very calming, but I'm not a huge fan of products that have a lot of chunks in them (as you can see in the pictures) even if they are herbs. The overall mask was nice and left my face calm and refreshed!

The full size is $41.00
My sample is around $6.00

(2)  Feel Renewed
pumpkin walnut facial cleanser.
I washed my face with this cleanser this morning instead of my usual to try it out and get my opinion of it. When I first smelled this I didn't think I would like it. If you enjoy pumpkin scents, then you'll love it. I'm usually not a fan, but I was pleasantly surprised when I actually did enjoy using this and it really put me in a fall mood! My skin felt amazing after using this too!

The full size is $28.00
My sample is $7.00

Other Face Products:
Mac Fix +
Too Faced Hangover Primer
Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation (fair)
Ulta Beauty Juice Infused Lip Oil (sweet rose)
Wet n Wild Photo Focus Concealer (light ivory)
Dew the Hoola
Milani Prep+Set+Go Transparent Face Powder
Physicians Formula Argan Wear Blush (Natural)
Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder (precious petals)

Face Brushes:
Beauty Blender
XO Beauty Vegan Powder
Luxie Lush 504 Large Angled
XO Beauty Vegan Shimmer Tulip

Eyes:
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
Elizabeth Mott POP! Go the Shadow (toasted)
Ulta Beauty Brow Tint (light)
Paula Dort Enhancer (nude eyeliner)

This really was a good shadow and formula, but I felt this was just really repetitive in what I've gotten before in these glam bags. The shade we've seen a dozen times and the sample size isn't the best. I can easily pop (no pun intended) it out and place it in a Z Palette. I incorporated this shade with a few other from the Naked 3 Palette, but I focused this just on my lid.

Full size is $13.00
My sample is $4.55

I've said in my blogs before that I love receiving brushes from subscriptions, but when they're from brands that are my favorite, it's even better! I love Luxie Brushes so much! The quality is so good and they can make any eye look flawless. Ipsy introduced me to these brushes and I love that I still continue to receive them. This brush didn't let me down.

This brush is $12.00

Other Eye Brushes:
XO Beauty Vegan Brow Groomer
XO Beauty Vegan Shadow

I curled my lashes and then tried this Ciate mascara out for the first time. I wasn't blown away with the formula like I am about the L'oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara, but it was a decent one that I would continue to use. My favorite part about this item is the wand! These are my favorite kind of wands for sure!

Full size is $22.00
My sample is $11.00

I added this Wet n Wild Lipstick (Think Pink) to this look and it's finished!

My overall Glam Bag Total for this Month is $40.55
That's great for a $10.00 (monthly subscription)

Tower 28 Beauty | Makeup

To the brand that has opened my eyes to a creative outlet while thinking of my skin all the time. Tower 28 Beauty has proved to me that you can have fun with makeup while taking your skin into consideration the entire time. While it's still fun to dip into all my other makeup I have found so much joy in my lightweight makeup ways. The shift happened after trying more cream products and Tower 28 has been one of them. I eyed the beauty of this brand for a while and then took the plunge with their cream bronzer, Bronzino in the shade Sun Coast (the lightest to go with my fair complexion), Beach Please Balm Blush in the shade Power Hour , and a couple of their ShineOn Lip Jellies (Almond & Cashew) .  Their creams are balms so you get a full shine to your look. They not only make your skin look glossy and healthy but also vibrant with the pigment. The blushes really pack a punch in pigment and can be worn as a flush of color or built-up. The bronzer is a little less pigmented th

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Alamar Cosmetics Spanglish | Makeup

I've been loving Alamar since it started and I love to see how far they have come. It's an indie brand I will always recommend so to then get their products in Boxycharm or Boxy Pop Up sales its a win win! That's how I got my Spanglish palette . You can already see this is an Ally palette by the purples! It's a gorgeous one with buttery mattes and stunning metallics. I also appreciate the subtle browns while also having the pops of color too. I found the color story pretty, but also odd. It's not one you see a lot but it does work. I have also found myself creating unique shades by mixing shades together. It's definitely a cute summer moment that you won't be disappointed with.  Swatches left to right: Pero Like, Eres Un Show, Tiene Swing, Guao, Ay Que Cute, Jajaja, Muy Excited, & Ponte Hyper.  Did you miss these blogs?  Lizzie McGuire x ColourPop | Makeup KVD Beauty Edge of Reality | Makeup Beautbean x Shroud It's Freakin' Bats | Makeup I als
