KVD Beauty Edge of Reality | Makeup


It took me awhile to buy this palette and when I did I got it on sale. A few years back I got the Saint & Sinner palette and while I was blown away by how beautiful the color story was, the packaging was stunning, and the vibes were there... I couldn't get on board with the formula. I had such a hard time with it lasting on my eyes unlike any shadow I have tried. The weird part was after having it for over a year or two I tried again and liked it more. It's almost like the formula ages like a fine wine but in cosmetics that's not something you particularly want. 

I was drawn to the Edge of Reality palette once again like the last palette because of the shades and beautiful packaging. The price point with the risk of not liking it like before kept me from buying until the sale. I had heard good things about this one though so that was a plus! 

So what you need to know is this is a great palette! I'm super happy with my purchase. The mattes are a softer formula but blend nicely and can be built up in pigment. The metallics are lighter but offer this shimmer that almost looks wet. I have to mention that the formula has changed just like the brand in general. It was a good change for them as these shades last all day on my eyes. The best change of all is that the packaging is 100% recylcable. It's not the most fanciest packaging ever but you can see where they still tried to make it look pretty while being a HUGE eco friendly shift. I appreciate it. These swatches don't do this palette justice or capture just how stunning these shades shift. If the palette is still on sale I highly reccomend and I'm keeping an eye on future KVD Beauty palettes.

With 5 mattes and 4 metallics, you have a good balance in formulas that are some of the best. The mattes are pigmented but are some of the easiest shadows to blend out. The metallics are a buttery dream with the prettiest payoff. Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette (Nude) Review You may have seen that I received this Doucce palette in my FabFitFun Winter Box . I have actually tried one of their single pans of eyeshadow from a subscription in the past and I did like it and thought it was super pigmented! First of all, I love how compact and cool this freematic palette is. There is small magnets on the back of each shade and the inside of the actual palette is a magnetic board like a Z-Palette. Then I want to mention how I do really like the color layout of this. It is a pretty neutral layout and has shades that everyone has, but the undertone of these are just so different to me. Amethyst | Gemstone Series

 Amethyst | Gemstone Series  Today is Amethyst. I have to say I started this look a little late in the day and was rushing the beautiful golden hour to get this makeup on and get decent pictures before the sunset.  *If this is the first gemstone look you have seen the others will be linked below, but the idea is creating looks based on gemstones every week and the challenge (not really) using the ColourPop So Jaded palette to create the eye look.  ✖️Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel (Blonde) ✖️Eyes: Mac Cosmetics Paint Pot (Painterly) ColourPop So Jaded Palette (Ametrine, Flourite, & Amethyst) Tarte Cosmetics Big Ego Mascara I started the look with the Ametrine shade right above my crease and blended it out with a blending brush.
