Urban Myth Palette

Since coming off my "no buy" I decided to test the waters more with indie brands because I love shopping small! I came across Black Moon Cosmetics through Trendmood (props to her for sharing more indie too!) and was obsessed! I have a creepy darker side of me that is here for true crime (duh, I have a true crime podcast!), conspiracy theories, and urban myths.. So as you can see this palette was already winning me over, but like I have stated. I may be off my no buy, but I'm living that "low buy" "smart buy" life now. SO hear me out when I say this color story is so unique and I had to have it. Ha! You have 5 metallics on top and 5 mattes on bottom that I'm honestly here for. I found it so interesting the shades they came up with for this, but they're all so gorgeous! You already know I'm here for the blues and purples! My obsession with green has been intense this year which made those shades winners as well. The Mothman shade applies as a slight khaki with a green undertone. It is super unique and the Bigfoot shade is insanely pigmented! It also is a unique dark shade that works with more looks than you might think. The last two are Bloody Mary, which I feel like this palette did need. I love me a Bloody Mary moment, but red shadow and me don't collide often. I feel like it will be the only shade not used well from this palette, but I have worn it once and it was just as beautiful as the other metallics. The Area 51 is a moment! I have yet to use it as a main event on my eyes, but I have used it in the inner corner and my God it's insanely beautiful while being slightly intimidating.

There is consistency with this palette and I find the mattes are pigmented and blend very well. The metallics are so gorgeous. I feel like some are a little thicker when applied while some are a lighter sheen, but they always make the look I'm wearing really pop!

Packaging wise I found this palette to be rather nice. It is a typical thick cardboard so nothing too fancy, but I can appreciate the artwork cover and space artwork on the inside with the mirror being cut out as a flying saucer. All in all, I'm super impressed with this palette and would 10/10 reccomend the indie brand that is Black Moon Cosmetics.

Swatches left to right: Area 51, Boogeyman, Bermuda Triangle, Paranormal, Bloody Mary, Mothman, Crop Circles, Lochness, Chupacabra, & Bigfoot.

Tower 28 Beauty | Makeup

To the brand that has opened my eyes to a creative outlet while thinking of my skin all the time. Tower 28 Beauty has proved to me that you can have fun with makeup while taking your skin into consideration the entire time. While it's still fun to dip into all my other makeup I have found so much joy in my lightweight makeup ways. The shift happened after trying more cream products and Tower 28 has been one of them. I eyed the beauty of this brand for a while and then took the plunge with their cream bronzer, Bronzino in the shade Sun Coast (the lightest to go with my fair complexion), Beach Please Balm Blush in the shade Power Hour , and a couple of their ShineOn Lip Jellies (Almond & Cashew) .  Their creams are balms so you get a full shine to your look. They not only make your skin look glossy and healthy but also vibrant with the pigment. The blushes really pack a punch in pigment and can be worn as a flush of color or built-up. The bronzer is a little less pigmented th

Good Molecules Pure Cold-Pressed Rosehip & Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer // Skincare

Good Molecules   If you watch my YouTube Channel you may be sick of me talking about this brand, but without a doubt they have become one of my top favorites. My collection of Good Molecules continues to grow of products I fall in love with, but for today's blog I wanted to talk about a couple of them. Good Molecules create products that work at an amazing price point, but they also have amazing ingredients. No this is not sponsored, but these products were sent to me. I've had these for a couple months now and wanted to fill you in on them. I will talk about the others in future skincare blogs, but I wanted to focus on these two products from Good Molecules. The rose hip oil and priming moisturizer. Pure Cold-Pressed Rosehip Seed Oil This is surprisingly the first rose hip oil I have ever tried. I've always seen that it is a great oil for dark spots, which I never really had until my cystic acne last year. This came right after that thankfully and ha

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba
