Beauty Tutorial & Review on L'oreal VS Too Faced Mascara

I prepped my face with Mac Fix+

For primer, I used this Gimme Good Face
by Trust Fund Beauty.

Today's foundation was this L'oreal Infalliable Pro-Glow
in the shade 201 classic ivory.

I used Tarte Shape Tape in the shade fair for concealer.

Which goes from this, to that. I love the coverage and color of this concealer so much!

I used Laura Mercier translucent powder to
set my face and "bake" my under eye area.

Brows have been the same for awhile. I'm
still loving the Brow Definer by ABH in the shade taupe.

My lips have been so dry, so I moisturized them
with some Burt's Bee Vanilla Bean.

For eyes today, I went in with my Naked 3 Palette by
Urban Decay.
These are really known palettes and very loved
(as you can see mine is very loved!) by so many. I wanted a more neutral
eye look to focus more on the mascara review.

 Shades I used:
Limit
Nooner
Liar
Mugshot
Strange

Eye Brushes I used:
XO Beauty Vegan Crease Blender
Elizabeth Mott Blending Brush
XO Beauty Vegan Eyeshadow
Since the lighting really wanted to start acting up,
I had to switch to flash to finish. I used this Tarte
tarteist Pro Glow To Go palette
for my contour/bronzer.

I used the bottom shade Chisel to contour/bronze my face.

For blush and highlight I used Becca Cosmetics.

I used the blush shade in the middle called Amaretto.
The highlight I used is the top left one called Prosecco Pop.
I again used Mac fix+, but this time to set my
face to keep my makeup in place.

My completed face/eyes for this look.
Face Brushes used:
XO Beauty Vegan Flat Face
XO Beauty Vegan Powder
XO Beauty Vegan Bronzer
Luxie Lush 504 Large Angled
Glo-minerals Contour/Highlight

Left eye is L'oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara. $9.99

Right eye is Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara. $23.00

I have to say I love both of these brands and own many products from both of them! I'm in no way tearing Too Faced down. In my opinion, L'oreal has just really upped their game with this product! Although I do enjoy both of these, I prefer the L'oreal one over the Too Faced one. In pictures they look about the same. I feel the Better than Sex sometimes tends to clump up some and its life span isn't the greatest in my opinion. I've been using the Voluminous Lash Paradise for a good solid two months now and it still applies like it's brand new! The formula on it isn't as thick as the other, and for that reason I feel it does apply better. The wands on both are almost identical. The shape is about the same, but the Better Than Sex wand is a little more dense. I love these wand shapes and prefer them over any of the hard plastic ones.
The top lashes look almost the same, but for the bottom ones I do feel that the Too Faced one looks fuller and the L'oreal one looks more natural.
Once again they're both great products, but for the cost and how similar they are I recommend checking out the L'oreal one for sure!

I finished this look with this Ulta Beauty
Matte lipstick in the shade Petal.
This was my
first time trying out any of their lipstick and
it was pretty good for being drugstore price
and matte finish!

Tower 28 Beauty | Makeup

To the brand that has opened my eyes to a creative outlet while thinking of my skin all the time. Tower 28 Beauty has proved to me that you can have fun with makeup while taking your skin into consideration the entire time. While it's still fun to dip into all my other makeup I have found so much joy in my lightweight makeup ways. The shift happened after trying more cream products and Tower 28 has been one of them. I eyed the beauty of this brand for a while and then took the plunge with their cream bronzer, Bronzino in the shade Sun Coast (the lightest to go with my fair complexion), Beach Please Balm Blush in the shade Power Hour , and a couple of their ShineOn Lip Jellies (Almond & Cashew) .  Their creams are balms so you get a full shine to your look. They not only make your skin look glossy and healthy but also vibrant with the pigment. The blushes really pack a punch in pigment and can be worn as a flush of color or built-up. The bronzer is a little less pigmented th

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Alamar Cosmetics Spanglish | Makeup

I've been loving Alamar since it started and I love to see how far they have come. It's an indie brand I will always recommend so to then get their products in Boxycharm or Boxy Pop Up sales its a win win! That's how I got my Spanglish palette . You can already see this is an Ally palette by the purples! It's a gorgeous one with buttery mattes and stunning metallics. I also appreciate the subtle browns while also having the pops of color too. I found the color story pretty, but also odd. It's not one you see a lot but it does work. I have also found myself creating unique shades by mixing shades together. It's definitely a cute summer moment that you won't be disappointed with.  Swatches left to right: Pero Like, Eres Un Show, Tiene Swing, Guao, Ay Que Cute, Jajaja, Muy Excited, & Ponte Hyper.  Did you miss these blogs?  Lizzie McGuire x ColourPop | Makeup KVD Beauty Edge of Reality | Makeup Beautbean x Shroud It's Freakin' Bats | Makeup I als
