Skincare Reviews
// Clinique, Belif, I Dew Care, Vichy Laboratories, Formula 10.0.6, Boscia, & Tarte

I have been meaning to post a new skincare update for awhile. This isn't necessarily my skincare routine, but products that I have been trying out in place of my usuals.
My skincare blogs are reviews on products that I have tried out for 2-4 weeks minimum. With skincare I have to use products for a longer time frame to see what changes have happened to my skin. Have they helped? Or have they worsen my skin? Keep in mind I have Combo-to-Dry skin type. The combo does mean that I sometimes still get oily, but not as often as I am dry. This skin type with having sensitive skin makes it really hard for me to always have perfect skin. Everyones skin is different so if you're in the same boat as me, you'll love these reviews, but if you have a different skin type I will address on those if I think products would work for that certain kind. These are some of my most read blogs, so I appreciate the support and will try to make updated ones as much as I can!
I will have other skincare blogs linked below if there is other skincare items you may want to read a review on before buying.

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap, Clarifying Lotion, & Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion +

I have been trying this combo out for close to a month. The products are nearly gone and I have my final thoughts. Clinique really isn't a bad skincare line, just not one for me. Although, I have recently found a new holy grail item from their line that I will have to mention in my next skincare blog! This 3-step just didn't do it for me. I need a stronger cleanser to keep my skin clean from not just daily particles, but also the bad oils in my skin. This cleanser wasn't up to that level for me. I missed my Tarte cleanser the whole time! The "clarifying lotion" is used as toner and it was alright. Probably the best out of the bunch, but not something I would have to rebuy. The moisturizer also wasn't a bad one, but it didn't have any chances at competing against my water gel based moisturizers. Sadly, this set just wasn't for me. This set would work for someone with combo and sensitive skin. It's not moisturizing enough for dry skin, but still not strong enough to tackle oily skin. This isn't a harsh cleansing system so I think this would be great for sensitive skin!

(I recommend COMBO skin types)

Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb

I really suffer with dehydrated, dark under eyes. They aren't too puffy, but more sunken in and dark. This product is a gel-like formula that really does moisturize! I felt like I couldn't use this at night because it didn't help with the dark circles. I used a more thick eye cream that helps with darkness at night and then this product in the mornings for moisturizing my under eyes and it helped in that department a lot! No other complaints about this product. If you're looking for a good eye cream and don't have dark circles definitely give this a try! If you have dark under eyes like myself, you could pass on this and buy another that targets both darkness and hydration.

I Dew Care Sugar Kitten
Hydrating Holographic Peel-Off Mask

While I feel like peel-off masks are an essential product to have in my routine to take off dead skin and left over gunk. These are super fun! I have a Instagram video (HERE) trying this mask out. It is holographic and so cool! Did it do the job? Absolutely and my skin looked great afterwards! The sweet smell is also satisfying. I bought the small set of 3 to try out the other as well (they will be in upcoming blogs and Insta videos), but the full-size which is much larger is only $23. Thats a bargain compared to some peel-off masks like these that are on the market!

(I recommend ALL skin types)

Vichy LaboratoriesPore Purifying Clay Mask

This is a great clay mask! It is pretty intense though. I'm not sure if I have mentioned this one before, but since I have been reaching for it again I thought I would mention it. This small sample jar has lasted so long (mind you, I'm always switching up my masks!) because it stretches so far! You use this mask 1-2 times a week for only 3-5 minutes per session! It is pretty strong, but really does draw out dirt and bad oils. I really recommend this if you suffer with oily skin, but not so much dry skin. I only use this when I'm going through an oily phase.

Formula 10.0.6Be Berry Balanced Nourishing Spray Toner Grape + Vitamin B3

I have addressed this on my beauty channel, but sadly this toner broke me out so bad! I love this great affordable brand and this has never happened to me with their products before, but one of the ingredients in this doesn't agree with my sensitive  skin. I mentioned wanting to be "lazy" while still adding the toner in my skincare and thats why I was drawn to the spray bottle toner, but I have to pass on this product without a great review. I think the idea of this is great and would love to find another toner out there in this form that works for my skin. If you don't have too sensitive skin maybe try this out. I love the brand and their products!

(I recommend ALL skin types besides sensitive skin)
Boscia Tsubaki Jelly Ball Cleanser

I have been using this fun cleanser for two months now. Maybe a little longer than that, but I really like it! I kind of thought it was a gimmick idea when I first bought it, but thought it was a cool product to try out and blog about. This is an intense cleanser! This will strip those bad oils right out! It's a little too drying for when I have super dry skin. I normally use my Tarte in the morning and this at night. I recently switched my Tarte out with the Clinique to try it out, but kept using the jelly ball. If you have oily skin you will love this, but I still recommend it for all skin types you may just have to use it once a day like I do. When my skin is oily I use this day and night and it does well! It smells really good. They also have a black charcoal one that my husband uses and loves as well. It smells more manly. The pink is more sweet and fruity smelling. This is satisfying to use and really does feel good massaging it over your face. This also has lasted so long! These are $20 and it hasn't shrank too much in size! To keep it more sanitary I store it in the original packaging and rinse it before and after cleansing my face.

(I recommend ALL skin types)

Tarte CosmeticsClean Queen Vegan Deodorant

This is random, but since this is from one of my favorite skincare brands and I've recently switched to all natural and/or vegan deodorant I thought I would share this. I was considering doing a full detail blog about my reasons and process of switching, but I'm unsure. What do you think?
Anyway I have been loving this deodorant as much as I am able to during the switching process. It smells really good and holds up for me for the most part. I am in the transitioning phase, so right now it's hella intense. Sorry to the people that may get too close to me in the gym! Otherwise I'm thinking this will be my go-to when I am completely switched and over this horrible process!

Tower 28 Beauty | Makeup

To the brand that has opened my eyes to a creative outlet while thinking of my skin all the time. Tower 28 Beauty has proved to me that you can have fun with makeup while taking your skin into consideration the entire time. While it's still fun to dip into all my other makeup I have found so much joy in my lightweight makeup ways. The shift happened after trying more cream products and Tower 28 has been one of them. I eyed the beauty of this brand for a while and then took the plunge with their cream bronzer, Bronzino in the shade Sun Coast (the lightest to go with my fair complexion), Beach Please Balm Blush in the shade Power Hour , and a couple of their ShineOn Lip Jellies (Almond & Cashew) .  Their creams are balms so you get a full shine to your look. They not only make your skin look glossy and healthy but also vibrant with the pigment. The blushes really pack a punch in pigment and can be worn as a flush of color or built-up. The bronzer is a little less pigmented th

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Alamar Cosmetics Spanglish | Makeup

I've been loving Alamar since it started and I love to see how far they have come. It's an indie brand I will always recommend so to then get their products in Boxycharm or Boxy Pop Up sales its a win win! That's how I got my Spanglish palette . You can already see this is an Ally palette by the purples! It's a gorgeous one with buttery mattes and stunning metallics. I also appreciate the subtle browns while also having the pops of color too. I found the color story pretty, but also odd. It's not one you see a lot but it does work. I have also found myself creating unique shades by mixing shades together. It's definitely a cute summer moment that you won't be disappointed with.  Swatches left to right: Pero Like, Eres Un Show, Tiene Swing, Guao, Ay Que Cute, Jajaja, Muy Excited, & Ponte Hyper.  Did you miss these blogs?  Lizzie McGuire x ColourPop | Makeup KVD Beauty Edge of Reality | Makeup Beautbean x Shroud It's Freakin' Bats | Makeup I als
