Beauty Tuesday

For my first "Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below).

I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the bags are always super cute and exciting to see what design/pattern it is each month. This month, the bag is a clear, plastic bag with ice cream cones and ice cream bars. Its a really cute summer bag theme. These are also nice to throw in your purse with a lip product, hand lotion, etc. for on the go.

The first product in the bag was this facial mud mask from the brand Global Beauty Care. I'm a huge fan of any mask, but really enjoy charcoal ones because of the deep cleansing they do for my pores. I usually have problematic skin, so these are always nice to have on hand. I don't know much about this brand, but I have gotten a sea weed sample mask from them before and enjoyed it. The size of this sample is great too! I've used it once and could probably get another 2-3 uses just from this one. When applied it felt sorta like a cooling mask. It didn't have any strange tingly feeling if you're not into that kind. Overall, my skin felt refreshed after one application and I'm hoping it'll help clear the problem areas I'm having at the moment.  These are $9.99 for 5oz on their website. My sample is 1 oz.

The next item is from the brand Pacifica. This is the Island Life Eyeshadow Palette. I love the colors and the size of this product! It would be great to take on a trip with you. The texture is creamy, but kinda powdery so I expected a little fall out, but was pretty surprised to barely have any! I'm loving the bronze colors this summer. I adore this yellowish gold color too, even though I'm not fond of yellow on myself personally. I did notice a little creasing and fading of the eyeshadow after a few hours which is a let down. They're still pretty summer colors, but will more than likely just end up being a bronze eye look instead of a bold yellow eye. This palette is smaller, 3.6 G. I had a hard time finding this online. The only one I found was priced at $10.95.

Onto the third product, Manna Kadar Cosmetics Radiance Split Pan Bronzer and Highlighter Duo.

This is a brand I've never heard of before, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I really liked both the bronzer and the highlight! The bronzer is a little on the warm side while still being very natural. The highlight is a beautiful natural glow. If you love the settle glow look, then you'll love this product. If you're more into the blinding highlight, this may not be the product for you. This is 3 G and priced at $21.00 on their website.
Number four is a Precision Angled Brush by Royal & Langnickel MODA.

I actually own some of their other brushes and absolutely love them! They're dense, yet still soft. They apply makeup very well and I haven't had any complaints so far about any of their brushes I've tried. From what I have seen on their website these precision angled brushes go for $5.00-$8.00.

Lastly, we have this creamy matte lipstick by Mellow Cosmetics. I've wanted to try this brand for awhile now because of the reviews I've seen. It's a really nice lipstick. It is both creamy and matte like the description, but it was also pretty long-wearing for me. It has a sweet vanilla-like fragrance, kinda like Mac lipsticks. It also has the bullet-like shape like the Mac ones. I think the packaging is really pretty and nice. This is in the shade Posh. This is a full size lipstick and is $13.00 on their website.

I hope you enjoyed this months Ipsy glam bag! Overall this bag's worth around $55.00, which is not bad for a $10.00 monthly subscription that also includes the bag! https://www.ipsy.com/new?cid=ppage_ref&sid=link&refer=bjmo

The look I came up using all the products mentioned, plus some others. ☀️

Tower 28 Beauty | Makeup

To the brand that has opened my eyes to a creative outlet while thinking of my skin all the time. Tower 28 Beauty has proved to me that you can have fun with makeup while taking your skin into consideration the entire time. While it's still fun to dip into all my other makeup I have found so much joy in my lightweight makeup ways. The shift happened after trying more cream products and Tower 28 has been one of them. I eyed the beauty of this brand for a while and then took the plunge with their cream bronzer, Bronzino in the shade Sun Coast (the lightest to go with my fair complexion), Beach Please Balm Blush in the shade Power Hour , and a couple of their ShineOn Lip Jellies (Almond & Cashew) .  Their creams are balms so you get a full shine to your look. They not only make your skin look glossy and healthy but also vibrant with the pigment. The blushes really pack a punch in pigment and can be worn as a flush of color or built-up. The bronzer is a little less pigmented th

Alamar Cosmetics Spanglish | Makeup

I've been loving Alamar since it started and I love to see how far they have come. It's an indie brand I will always recommend so to then get their products in Boxycharm or Boxy Pop Up sales its a win win! That's how I got my Spanglish palette . You can already see this is an Ally palette by the purples! It's a gorgeous one with buttery mattes and stunning metallics. I also appreciate the subtle browns while also having the pops of color too. I found the color story pretty, but also odd. It's not one you see a lot but it does work. I have also found myself creating unique shades by mixing shades together. It's definitely a cute summer moment that you won't be disappointed with.  Swatches left to right: Pero Like, Eres Un Show, Tiene Swing, Guao, Ay Que Cute, Jajaja, Muy Excited, & Ponte Hyper.  Did you miss these blogs?  Lizzie McGuire x ColourPop | Makeup KVD Beauty Edge of Reality | Makeup Beautbean x Shroud It's Freakin' Bats | Makeup I als
