Testing Out Skincare: Tarte, Skin Food, & The Organic Pharmacy

Testing Out Skincare: Tarte, Skin Food, & The Organic Pharmacy

I've been trying out skincare just as much as makeup lately! You can follow me on Instagram to see my #maskofthenight instastories (@allisonhunt_2) and you can see some future blogs of me reviewing those masks. Todays skincare is my holy grails and/or daily used items.

This has been my go-to cleanser for awhile now. I've actually mentioned it before in blogs. This is such a nice cleanser. It comes out in a light gel form and leaves my skin soft, clean, and refreshed! This isn't a harsh cleanser. It doesn't strip my face or irritate it at all! I was using this day and night. I use one pump in the morning (since I'm bare face) and two pumps at night (right after removing my makeup), but since I'm branching out and trying new things I've been using this just in the mornings. I feel like this is a cleanser I can't take completely out of my skincare products or my skin will get even worse again. This is the perfect morning cleanser and I'll continue to use it!

I've been using this gel moisturizer for 2-3 months now and I absolutely love it! Any Tarte products usually work very well with my skin and this is another hit! I really like gel moisturizers and I've tried a few now, but this one has been my favorite from the smell, the way it feels on my skin, and how well it keeps my face and neck moisturized. If you are looking for the best gel moisturizer, look no further!

This has been another holy grail for awhile. I got a smaller sample of this and even though it lasted forever (most oils do) I ran out of the whole thing within 6 months. That was on top of trying out other oils and night creams. I just really loved this oil! If my skin is going crazy with breakouts, dry skin, irritation, or really any issue I will lather this on at bedtime and my skin will already feel so much better the next morning! I'm not the type of person that likes to feel oily on my face, but I swear by this stuff! It's definitely worth it. I've used about a quarter of this bottle (this isn't even the full-size), but once I get through this one I'll be purchasing the full-size! It's worth the price!

I've been throughly trying this serum out daily to see what difference it does to my skin and more importantly my pores (since it's a pore serum). I have large pores that get so easily filled with blackheads. This is why I do so many mask, treatments, and skincare rituals because if I don't the acne and blackheads over take me. While this serum smells nice like peaches and makes my skin feel so soft, I haven't seen a difference in my pores. I've been trying this out for about 3-4 months and that's plenty of time to see a difference in my skin. I'll still be finishing this one out and if you don't have a pore problem then try this one out. It's only $16 and does make my skin feel so nice! I have seen a difference in my skin, just not my pores. On to find new pore products!

While this is rather expensive, it works! I've been using this for the past 6 months every night. I always see a huge difference in my dark circles (from kids), less puffiness, and any fine lines that have started to form. This is one area (eyes) that I have been already using anti-aging products on. It's never too early! I don't use this much for my lips because I have other (cheaper) products that work great for that. This is a thicker white cream that sinks into the skin as you rub it in. It hydrates and makes my under eye area feel smooth and nourished. It has a fresh natural scent that isn't too strong. I love that this is organic and made with all natural ingredients as well. This makes it pricey, but better for your skin!

Shroud Cosmetics x BattyBean Hallobean Palette | Makeup

Where to begin with this palette? Could it be the best of this season? Possibly so! This second round of Shroud Cosmetics x BattyBean is everything I could dream up for a fall palette. Sure, I love the past Its Freakin' Bats palette. It is still a favorite with its spooky vibes. What the Hallobean Palette gives is not only a spooky vibe but a fall lovers' essentials in the shade range. With 5 mattes and 4 metallics, you have a good balance in formulas that are some of the best. The mattes are pigmented but are some of the easiest shadows to blend out. The metallics are a buttery dream with the prettiest payoff. These stunning shades that are named after such iconic Halloween movies/characters are everything and new favorites.   BattyBean did an incredible job on another gorgeous color story and Shroud really does deserve all the love/hype they are getting! xx Shades left to right: Ghastly, Afterlife, Crypt, Woodsboro, It's Showtime, Black Flame, Losers Club, Ghoulish...

Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette (Nude) Review

Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette (Nude) Review You may have seen that I received this Doucce palette in my FabFitFun Winter Box . I have actually tried one of their single pans of eyeshadow from a subscription in the past and I did like it and thought it was super pigmented! First of all, I love how compact and cool this freematic palette is. There is small magnets on the back of each shade and the inside of the actual palette is a magnetic board like a Z-Palette. Then I want to mention how I do really like the color layout of this. It is a pretty neutral layout and has shades that everyone has, but the undertone of these are just so different to me. In a good way for sure! They do have other palette options on their website, along with a "build your own palette" option. I will eventually review the highlight (also a bonus!) that came with this, but I want to talk mainly about the 8 eyeshadows. They're just like the single one I received and is very pigm...

Amethyst | Gemstone Series

Amethyst | Gemstone Series  Today is Amethyst. I have to say I started this look a little late in the day and was rushing the beautiful golden hour to get this makeup on and get decent pictures before the sunset.  *If this is the first gemstone look you have seen the others will be linked below, but the idea is creating looks based on gemstones every week and the challenge (not really) using the ColourPop So Jaded palette to create the eye look.  ✖️Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel (Blonde) ✖️Eyes: Mac Cosmetics Paint Pot (Painterly) ColourPop So Jaded Palette (Ametrine, Flourite, & Amethyst) Tarte Cosmetics Big Ego Mascara I started the look with the Ametrine shade right above my crease and blended it out with a blending brush. Then I took the Flourite shade on my inner corner and brow bone as my highlight.  Then, of course, the Amethyst shade in the palette. I patted it on the lid space with my finger before blending it in my actual ...
