Alexandrite | Gemstone Series

 Alexandrite | Gemstone Series

To finish out this series I have the beautiful Alexandrite shade. I had so much fun creating this look as alexandrite shifts between purples and greens. I'm so excited to be closing out this series, but also sad it is over. I will have all parts linked below if you missed any and a new series will be coming soon! xo

*If this is the first gemstone look you have seen the others will be linked below, but the idea is creating looks based on gemstones every week and the challenge (not really) using the ColourPop So Jaded palette to create the eye look.

✖️Brows:

Tarte Cosmetics Busy Gal Brows (Taupe)

✖️Eyes:

Mac Cosmetics Paint Pot (Painterly)
ColourPop So Jaded Palette (Pearl, Geo Dude, Jade, & Alexandrite)
Pretty Vulgar Faux Reals Mascara

I took the Geo Dude shade through my crease as a transition and then highlighted the brow bone and inner corner with Pearl

Then the Jade shade was used to pull the green from Alexandrite to the look which I used just over my actual crease to make it look like a cut crease moment.

Of course, Alexandrite the shade had to come to play with this Alexandrite inspired look and it took center staged on the lid below the cut crease.

✖️Face:
ColourPop Pretty Fresh Hydrating Primer
Marc Jacobs Beauty Genius Gel Foundation (10 Ivory Light)
Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape Concealer (Fair)
KVD Vegan Beauty Brightening Powder (Petal)
Sol Body Bronzing Balm (Fair)
Morphe Cool Pro 8C Blush Palette (Drama)
ColourPop Pressed Powder Highlight (Horse & Carriage)
Morphe Continuous Setting Mist

✖️Lips:
JSC Velour Lip Liner (Dominatrix)
Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color (Brocade)

Skincare & Makeup Haul

Skincare & Makeup Haul I've never done a "haul" on my blog before, but I thought it would be a cool idea plus it would be a sneak peak of things that I'll be trying out for future reviews.  Skincare: I have been loving trying out new skincare items and although my skincare bin is a little full at the moment there was a few things I was running low on and a few things that I couldn't pass on!  I was running low on both makeup removing wipes and micellar water, so I picked these up at Target. I often use a moisturizer from the Simple brand, but I've never tried their wipes or micellar water before. It's cheaper in the long run buying the two pack of wipes, but I do hope these work good!  My nose has once again started getting clogged with blackheads. I've been trying out a few different foundations and wearing makeup just about everyday and my skin just isn't use to that. After taking a two week break from makeup a...

July Monthly Beauty Favorites

July Monthly Beauty Favorites  I've been keeping my fingernails pretty naturally and trying to get them more healthier and longer looking, but I got this Kokie nail polish in an Ipsy bag a couple months ago and I've been using it a lot this summer on my toes. It's a really pretty periwinkle color. This is in the shade Heavenly. I actually bought this awhile back and used it (at least the body mist, as you can tell) so much. I've recently started using them again and have fallen in love with the scent once again. It's a mixture of vanilla and coconut. Those are my favorites!   FACE: For face care, I've still been using this  tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Gel Cleanser . I absolutely  love this stuff! This is a "must have" and "holy grail" for me! It has helped my face problems (I still have some issues of course, but it's improved since using this religiously) so much and doesn't dry my skin out too much a...

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug...
