Ruby | Gemstones Series

Ruby | Gemstones Series

It's time for another gemstone. Today we have ruby  which is my husbands birthstone and also my favorite shade next to black. Ha! I wanted ruby to be dramatic, bold, and shimmery.

*If this is the first gemstone look you have seen the others will be linked below, but the idea is creating looks based on gemstones every week and the challenge (not really) using the ColourPop So Jaded palette to create the eye look.

✖️Brows: ABH Brow Definer (Taupe) & Clear Brow Gel

✖️Eyes: JSC Velour Liquid Lipstick (Redrum) ColourPop So Jaded Palette (Moonstone & Ruby) It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara

I first wanted to create a bold base/outline in red. I used an eyeshadow brush and a Velour Liquid Lipstick from JSC that claims to be eye-safe and have worked well for me when putting them on my eyes in the past as color eyeliner. I went bold with a cat eye shape.

To finish up the eyeshadow I highlighted the inner corner and brow bone with Moonstone and then pressed the star of the show, Ruby  the metallic, over the JSC Redrum shade.

✖️Face: Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Face Primer Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape Hydrating Foundation (Porcelain) & Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation (Fair-Light Neutral) Pretty Vulgar Undercover Concealer (Little White Lies) Ciate London Extraordinary Setting Powder Bh Cosmetics Nude Rose Sculpt & Glow Palette Nyx Cosmetics Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette Ofra Cosmetics Highlighter (Rodeo Drive) Morphe Continuous Setting Mist

I used a foundation mix today of the Tarte foundations. I ordered the wrong shade in my water foundation. Ugh.. but it works with the other well. I went into the other base products as usual. I used the cool tone bronzer shade in the Bh palette and I used the two blushes on the end of the Nyx palette. The shimmer pink and light pink shades.

✖️Lips: Illamasqua Lip Pencil (Lust) JSC Velour Liquid Lipstick (Redrum)

I went a little crazy with the photos on this one.. Haha

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my August  2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below).   First of all, I normally do my Ipsy reviews a week earlier than this one is being put up. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
