Melt Cosmetics x Beetlejuice | Makeup
Being the huge Beetlejuice lover I am. How could I not be so excited for this?! These are actually my first palettes from Melt Cosmetics. A brand I have always wanted to try, but never have. I am pretty happy with this purchase for different reasons such as the color stories to the formula but I want to talk about both palettes in this post today. For the most part the formula has been consistent in both so I wanted to add here that they have super pigmented mattes. I have found them to blend well and work amazing with other shades. The metallics are pigmented as well and offer such a payoff that I'm always wowed with them. The rest I will leave below.
The Waiting Room Palette
Besides being a collectors buy I honestly told myself I didn't have a palette like this in my collection. Sure I could "shop my stash" and probably build a close palette to this, but I didn't have one put together already like this one. Plus the want to finally try Melt is what did it for me. I really don't have many of these in my collection though. I have found most of these to be so unique and although I love red I find myself barely reaching for it because it's usually not flattering on me. With this palette I have enjoyed wearing red. They chose the perfect undertones to make them work plus the berry tones help with that. Overall they're super flattering berries and reds in my opinion. I love the number of mattes and metallics in this one. I feel like there is more wiggle room with look options with this palette over the other too. This ended up being one that I think was not only a want purchase, but a good purchase in what I lack, but also what I'll use.
Swatches left to right: Obituary, No Exit, Sawed Girl, Dante's Inferno, Lydia, Char Man, Tombstone, Shrunken Head, Juno, & Sandworm
Recently Deceased Palette
This one just looks like an "Ally purchase" to begin with, but these are also the shades I like to see with a Beetlejuice collection. Just like the other I find this one to be a good purchase (although I do have most of these purples over and over in my collection) as I will use this so much. Although a mixture of other shades would've been nice it is super satisfying to see all the greens and purples together in one. I have definitely used this palette more than the other. The consistency has been amazing beside the one dark purple shade that seems to work some days and others takes forever to blend. The looks I have achieved with it has me head over heels for both of these palettes.
Swatches left to right: Betelgeuse, Paranormal, Draw A Door, Neurotic, Recently Deceased, Lost Souls, Little Accident, & Bio Exorcist
