Aquamarine | Gemstone Series

Aquamarine | Gemstone Series

I am so excited to start this series! If you are an OG of my blog posts then you probably remember this used to be the place where I posted all my looks and how-to tutorials. I loved (and still do) creating art of makeup and photos. Last week I had a couple of bad anxiety days back to back and decided to do something fun for myself that I felt like doing. That thing that I happened to do was a blog look. Sitting in front of a window of natural light, in the floor, with makeup all around me, and music playing. It was relaxing and for the first time in so long I just got to play with makeup at my own speed with no extra strings of filming and editing.
It'll still be some work getting these blogs and photos together, but when I go at my own speed with makeup I fall in love with the results so I want to share it with you.
The last blog looks I did was a Floral series, so I wanted to stick to series here (for now that is) and I was inspired to start gemstones. So expect a lot of gemstone looks for the next countless Fridays. I also want to use these series to utilize my collection so I will be sticking to one palette each series (hopefully) to really get use of them. Of course the most perfect palette for this series was Kathleen Lights x ColourPop So Jaded. Today I was inspired by my Sea Foam Marmalade nails to do aquamarine.

✖️Brows:
It Cosmetics Universal Brow Pencil
Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel

✖️Eyes:
Mac Cosmetics Paint Pot (Painterly) ColourPop x Kathleen Lights So Jaded Palette (My Precious, Rose Quartz, Aquamarine, & Opal) It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara ColourPop BFF Volumizing Mascara (Kiss 'N Teal)

I first primed my eyes with Mac Paint Pot and then took the My Precious shade in my crease.

The next shade Rose Quartz, I took in my crease too but the main focus with this shade is on the outer corner.

I, of course, had to use the Aquamarine shade so I placed that over my lid with my finger since it is a metallic. I get the best pay off that way.

And the last shade Opal I did the exact same thing just a little more lightly since this is a straight up glitter shade. I wanted to add some over Aquamarine to make the look pop more.

I finished off the look (after the base parts that I share next) with mascara, but not just one, but two mascaras. I used black on top lash and blue teal on bottom.

✖️Face: Dr. Brandt Luminizer Primer L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation (201 Classic Ivory) & Infallible Full Wear Concealer (Porcelain) Ciate London Extraordinary Setting Powder Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Lite Bronzer Realher Be Limitless Be Fearless Blush Kit (Fearless & Unstoppable) Kylie Cosmetics Highlighter (Snow Angel) Smashbox So Chill Coconut Setting Spray

The rest I kind of lost track of time and zoomed through without taking progress photos. If you see my process in YouTube videos then you already know, but I went into some bronzer. I chose Hoola Lite because I wanted a light bronze moment. I used the Realher blush kit that is in my stop my stash but since the shades are so vibrant I decided to mix Fearless and Unstoppable shades. I used Snow Angel highlight from Kylie Cosmetics because it is stunning but also because it has a light pink tint to this highlight that I thought would be perfect with this aquamarine look. And one of my most favorite steps in my makeup... Melting everything together with setting spray. In this case I used Smashbox So Chill Coconut Spray which is actually a primer water, but makes for a beautiful dewy face mist!

✖️Lips: Appeal Cosmetics Gel Liner (Naked) Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick (Mannequin)

I finished the look with a nude pink and love this super simple aquamarine look. I can't wait to do the next gemstone look! XO

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my August  2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below).   First of all, I normally do my Ipsy reviews a week earlier than this one is being put up. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
