Natasha Denona Peak Palette | Makeup

Natasha Denona Peak Palette | Makeup

Peak Palette

Where to begin on if I wanted to even type a blog on a limited "boxycharm" exclusive, which if you've followed for awhile you know I hate, item knowing the outcome is nothing due to it no longer existing besides resale shops. The whole point I want to get across with this blog is the fact that Boxycharm did me dirty with this one. I'm in love with something that I can share a lot because it's no longer available. I usually feel like I'm sleeping on the Natasha Denona brand, but those prices. Yikes. I bought the Camel palette awhile back and loved it. It wasn't a normal buy since it's so neutral, but I really do like it.

Fast forward to getting a ND palette in my Boxycharm. Another neutral, but this time a warm tone. The Peak palette I feel like we were all excited about because it was ND, but were questioning the quality of yet another, Boxycharm exclusive and with a brand at that price point?

This palettes quality shocked me to being the same great one that is the Camel palette and I'm sure the rest of hers (remember I don't have the others.. ) and I wanted to share my experience with ND formula. It is as great as they say, but my favorite? No, I do have others I like just as much and even more. It is a nice velvety matte formula that blends like a dream and the metallics are buttery with insane payoff. It wears incredibly as I look at my eyeshadow throughout the day in awe.

It's the packaging and price point that keeps me from ever investing further with this brand. The packaging is cute and nice, but that price point wise? I don't think so. It's eyeshadow for crying out loud and there is too many affordable good brands out there. I get the hype because they are really nice, but save your money and buy when they're on sale because I can assure you they will be more worth the sale price than the full. I love them and sure would love one of her others, but the overhype killed me on this brand and I don't see myself buying much unless it is on sale.

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
