Violet Voss Essentials Palette | Makeup

Violet Voss Essentials Palette | Makeup

I got this beautiful palette in a Boxycharm box and wasn't too sure about it. I've tried Violet Voss once in the past and liked it, but it was an even more neutral palette so it didn't get a lot of love. This one I wasn't a huge fan of the color story until I started playing with it more, and more so, on lazy days where I only wanted a couple shades anyways. That is where this palette works. It is Essentials for a reason. You have a highlight metallic shade, a lighter transition, a warm transition, a dusty rose matte, a gold metallic, a brown matte, a black matte, and some other fun metallic shades of Emerald, pink, and purple.
Yes, a lot is going on, but they create such beautiful looks. I'm mostly so impressed with these mattes. They are pigmented. Like one dip in stretches so far and the blend is amazing. The metallics are buttery and gorgeous. It is a super pretty palette of essentials shades for so many looks. A palette I didn't know I needed more of, but I'm so glad to have it. Violet Voss is definitely a brand on my radar now and I seen that there is an Essentials 2 palette now... I need it. My recent look with this palette is one of my favorites I've done in awhile!
What is your favorite Violet Voss Palette? XO

Shades left to right: Cream, Sand, Terra Cotta, Gold, Emerald, Pink, Dusty Rose, Plum Berry, Cinnamon, & Black.

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
