Foundations // Makeup

I forgot to post about these foundations, like I had planned. Since I've been enjoying both of them so much I wanted to post this still and hopefully it will help you decide on if either would be a good fit for you or not.

1.0 Fl Oz $36
My Shade: Fair 103
Shade Range: 42 shades
Finish: Natural Matte
Coverage: Medium to Full - Buildable

*VEGAN | CRUELTY FREE | TALC FREE | PARABEN FREE | OIL FREE | FRAGRANCE FREE

I was super excited about the 'Meet Your Hue' launch from Dose. This foundation is a natural matte finish while not drying out your face. Applied with a hydrating primer on my combo-to-dry skin it is a perfect combo for an all day wear. I think with oily skin you could get by with just a regular primer and it would wear well. My shade is in the fair range (of course) but is the lightest neutral undertone in the line, I believe. The shade range is amazing and I was blown away by it and how many undertones are offered. The coverage easily gets to full so I go light handed for medium and apply it normally for a full coverage glam. Paired with the seamless sponge from Dose, it is perfection. While mentioning the sponge I wanted to include how much I love it. It applies, not only this foundation, but any I have applied with it flawlessly! To wrap up this one I think you will love it if you have oily skin and like coverage. For normal skin types I would say only if you like semi mattes and coverage and if you're more on the dry side like me the preference would depend not just on coverage and finish, but if you're comfortable wearing semi mattes. I know some don't so this might not be one for you unless you like mattes with hydrating primers like I do. Oh, and the applicator is a pump!

 0.95 Fl Oz $6.49
My Shade: Porcelain
Shade Range: 20 shades
Finish: Dewy
Coverage: Medium to Full - Buildable

*Cruelty-free, gluten-free, talc-free, and vegan shades.

We're flipping this entirely.. This one is not only drugstore and drugstore price, but also dewy. I also like to apply with this with a regular or even a matte primer so it last the longest on my face. My shade matches me well for drugstore shades, but the shade range is set at 20 which isn't awful for drugstore, but could still use some more undertones in my opinion. Again I'm blown away by the coverage. This one you have to build more for those results than having them from the start with the Dose foundation. It does build up to medium and full coverage. The finish is dewy and incredible. My skin looks so healthy and glows while wearing this foundation. I like to apply it with a sponge also. If you have combo or dry you will love this foundation. If you have normal I would pair it with a matte primer and if you have oily skin type you might just want to run in the opposite direction of this foundation. Haha... It's a good drugstore favorite of mine for my dry skin. The applicator is still the wonky stick (like the regular PhotoFocus has), but the nasty paint smell is gone with this dewy one!

Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette (Nude) Review

Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette (Nude) Review You may have seen that I received this Doucce palette in my FabFitFun Winter Box . I have actually tried one of their single pans of eyeshadow from a subscription in the past and I did like it and thought it was super pigmented! First of all, I love how compact and cool this freematic palette is. There is small magnets on the back of each shade and the inside of the actual palette is a magnetic board like a Z-Palette. Then I want to mention how I do really like the color layout of this. It is a pretty neutral layout and has shades that everyone has, but the undertone of these are just so different to me. In a good way for sure! They do have other palette options on their website, along with a "build your own palette" option. I will eventually review the highlight (also a bonus!) that came with this, but I want to talk mainly about the 8 eyeshadows. They're just like the single one I received and is very pigm...

Shroud Cosmetics x BattyBean Hallobean Palette | Makeup

Where to begin with this palette? Could it be the best of this season? Possibly so! This second round of Shroud Cosmetics x BattyBean is everything I could dream up for a fall palette. Sure, I love the past Its Freakin' Bats palette. It is still a favorite with its spooky vibes. What the Hallobean Palette gives is not only a spooky vibe but a fall lovers' essentials in the shade range. With 5 mattes and 4 metallics, you have a good balance in formulas that are some of the best. The mattes are pigmented but are some of the easiest shadows to blend out. The metallics are a buttery dream with the prettiest payoff. These stunning shades that are named after such iconic Halloween movies/characters are everything and new favorites.   BattyBean did an incredible job on another gorgeous color story and Shroud really does deserve all the love/hype they are getting! xx Shades left to right: Ghastly, Afterlife, Crypt, Woodsboro, It's Showtime, Black Flame, Losers Club, Ghoulish...

Amethyst | Gemstone Series

Amethyst | Gemstone Series  Today is Amethyst. I have to say I started this look a little late in the day and was rushing the beautiful golden hour to get this makeup on and get decent pictures before the sunset.  *If this is the first gemstone look you have seen the others will be linked below, but the idea is creating looks based on gemstones every week and the challenge (not really) using the ColourPop So Jaded palette to create the eye look.  ✖️Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel (Blonde) ✖️Eyes: Mac Cosmetics Paint Pot (Painterly) ColourPop So Jaded Palette (Ametrine, Flourite, & Amethyst) Tarte Cosmetics Big Ego Mascara I started the look with the Ametrine shade right above my crease and blended it out with a blending brush. Then I took the Flourite shade on my inner corner and brow bone as my highlight.  Then, of course, the Amethyst shade in the palette. I patted it on the lid space with my finger before blending it in my actual ...
