Mini Reviews: Farsali, Tarte, XO Beauty, & Milani

Farsali Unicorn Essence

If you're obsessed with makeup and follow a lot of beauty influencers on Instagram then you probably already know what this is. I was so intrigued by this product when seeing all the short Insta videos of makeup looks while using this "essence oil", that I purchased this ($20) deluxe sample of it at Sephora. I wanted to see what all the hype was about with priming your face with an oil. I have combo-to-dry skin so the oil part didn't bother me, but I was curious as to if this would make me look oily. Then I read that this actually sinks right into the skin for a matte primed look. That it does! This isn't heavy feeling whatsoever and leaves your skin a little tacky as a primer. This beautiful shimmery pink oil smells really sweet, but not too strong. It's a nice scent. My foundation and face makeup applied and wore on my face really well. So well that it compared to my "holy grail" Too Faced HangoveRX Primer. This is definitely a keeper for me!

Tarte 12-Hour Amazonian Clay Blush (Concept)

I HAD to mention this blush in a Mini Review. I've already raved about their blushes, but this shade! It is the most perfect natural shade I have found in a blush! It applies light and builds in pigment. Every time I wear this I feel like my skin is glowing! This has made me love blush, when I used to not be a fan.

XO Beauty Lipsticks

I seriously want every shade she launches, but before I paid for that New Zealand shipping for every lipstick shade I wanted to really try out the formula on these to make sure I would actually love them! The creme shade lasted on my lips just like any other creme formula. There was the usual touch ups every 3-4 hours and/or after eating and drinking. The matte wore longer, but I had to apply a couple layers for pigmentation. They both were comfortable. I would go for the creme formula over the matte in these, but I still enjoyed both shades. I would be interested in buying more of these for sure! I'm also really wanting to try out their liquid lipsticks.

Milani Prime Light Strobing + Pore Minimizing Face Primer

I didn't hate this primer, but I also didn't love it. This is NOT a strobing primer. I really didn't see a change in my pores even. My foundation wore alright for the first few hours, but always started breaking up around my nose and in between my eyebrows area after that. This looks like a highlighting primer in the pictures below on my hand, but it blends into the skin sheer just like any other primer. It was light and felt good on my face, but is still a disappointment since it doesn't do what it claims to do.

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
