Tarte Holiday Collection

Tarte Holiday Collection

My Tarte obsession has been real this past year. You can type in "Tarte" in the search bar of my blog and over half of my blogs mention it! It has truly become one of my top favorite brands. When they started their sneak peaks on the holiday items I already wanted them by how beautiful the packaging is, but then they revealed the actual products that looked just as amazing as the packaging!
This isn't their whole holiday line, but since I got quite a few things from the line I thought I might as well throw them all in a review together instead of my regular Mini Reviews. I know I'm a little late in the game of posting this, but I'm pretty sure these will all be available for a little while longer. A lot of holiday items will also go on sale towards the end of the holiday season! I will have each (title) product linked incase you are interested in purchasing any of these products.

So like I mentioned, the packaging is so cute! I love how all the different items go together with the same patterns. I didn't plan to buy so much from one brand for the holiday collections, but each product just kept catching my eye. The first product I fell in love with was the Lip Sculptor set.

These are duo ended Lipsticks and Lip Glosses that come in a set of 5.
In my opinion these are the perfect holiday shades. You have your reds for bold lip looks and nude pinks to go with that glam holiday eyeshadow look. The formula on these are amazing just like their normal lipsticks and glosses. They smell amazing, the pigmentation is there, and they last as well as any gloss or creamy lipstick lasts. They're both comfortable on your lips. The glosses feel lightweight and not sticky. The lipsticks are super creamy. I love these for any look and I most always keep one in my purse to have on hand. This set cost $34 (but is on sale for $29 on Ulta!) and for the quality of these and how each shade will last some time it's totally (especially with the sale price!) worth it!

Shades (top to bottom, gloss & Lipstick):
Pride (poppy)
Trinket (rosy mauve)
Quest (rosy apricot)
Gem (rosy peach)
Bangle (deep cherry)

I was a little back and forth with this item. Do I really need another highlighter? The answer is always, yes! Honestly, when brands come out with limited-edition or just holiday highlighters they're either too dark for my complexion or they're snow white (which I'm not a huge fan of). It's hardly ever a good in between. There is so many different complexions out there, so why do brands think they can make one shade for all?! Although, I do love this highlighter for my skin-tone, I'm still bummed that this time they really didn't think about making a good wearable shade for darker complexions. The quality of this is really good. I love the highlighter in the Tarte Pro Glow and the Tarte Pro Glow To Go palettes and this highlight really reminds me of those. This is pigmented like a Becca highlight and is very buildable! This is also a HUGE highlight pan. The design in the pan is pretty, but I can't get over the actual size of it! The swatch on my hand is hard to see, but the glow is there! This highlighter is $35 (on sale for $10 off on Sephora!) and is worth every penny for how much product you're getting! I'll never hit pan on this!

My obsession with brushes lately made me make this purchase. I had never tried any brushes from Tarte before and I was pleasantly surprised on how great they are! They're not as soft as some of the other brands I own, but they aren't rough either. They apply makeup great and they're super pretty brushes! On their website you can see what they claim each brush is for, but for me I used them a little differently. Their "Powder" brush makes the perfect thick bronzer brush! This is my go-to brush for bronzing up my face now. Their "Foundation" brush I use for foundation. It's a nice round top face brush and blends out my foundation effortlessly. Their "blush" brush is the funniest to me because I don't know who is going to use such a small brush for blush! This makes an excellent highlight brush though! Their "Crease" and "Lid" Eye brushes are perfect for those! They are good for blending out any shadows and packing the pigment on. This is a nice little brush set to own, the cost for the set is $44 (not on sale at the moment) and that may seem a little steep since you can get a full brush set from some brands for around $100, but you're getting limited-edition packaging (which sometimes really isn't worth it) and a little holder. If you have plenty of brushes and aren't really looking into buying more at the moment I would pass on these.

This little travel lip set is great for holiday traveling! With 4 rich red, berry, and nude holiday lipsticks that can't go wrong with any holiday look! These are vegan and claim to have 12-hour moisturizing benefits. These are very comfortable to wear and long-wearing. These would also be a perfect stocking stuffer if you're still last minute shopping. These are travel minis, therefor these won't last near as long as regular sized lipsticks, but these are only $23 (on sale for $19 on Sephora!) for the set! I bought these for myself because one, I love lipsticks and two, I LOVE Tarte lipstick formula!

Shades (left to right):
Soaked (berry)
Sandals (bright red)
Margs (pink nude)
Jetset (deep berry red)

This is the exact same formula as the normal Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara. This is just in the limited-edition Holiday packaging. I wanted to review this mascara, because I haven't yet on my blog and I needed a new one so I just ordered the pretty glitter one. I'm not going to review this product in this post (it'll be in an upcoming Mini Review), but I wanted to mention the holiday packaging. This mascara is still the regular price of $23.

This has to be one of the best holiday items that they launched! No these blushes aren't full size, but it would take so long to run out of these blushes. Their huge book of blushes are cool because they are full-sized, but who wants that big of a palette to store?! This palette is the size of a small-to-medium eyeshadow palette. This would be great for travel because you would have any blush shade for any look! The best part is that this formula is just like their other amazonian clay blushes, which if you haven't tried are amazing! They're hands-down my favorite blushes out there! This palette is $44 (not on sale), but again worth every penny for 10 blushes!

Top Blushes (left to right):

Fortunate (pink melon)
Angelic (peachy pink)
Whimsical (Shimmery gold)
Exhilarating (fuchsia)
Skillful (pink berry)

Bottom Blushes (left to right):

Dainty (melon)
Endless (pink raspberry)
Authentic (plummy rose)
Worthy (soft pink highlight)
Extraordinary (shimmering coral)

The last item I wanted to mention is this holiday eyeshadow palette. I won't go into much detail because I just did a Palette Review (I will link below) on this. This palette is gorgeous! This palette is $36 (on sale for $25 on Tarte!) and is limited-edtion so if you're interested you might want to get it soon!

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
