It! Cosmetics Chic Brush Set Review

It! Cosmetics Chic Brush Set Review

I'm changing it up a little, but this is still beauty related! One of my favorite beauty related items is makeup brushes! I'm seriously addicted to growing my brush collection. I love trying different brands and finding the best ones out there. I can honestly say, I have tons of favorites, but I may have a favorite highlighter brush from one brand that I like more than other brands and the same for all the different types of brushes out there! I thought this could be something new to add to the blog.

I ordered this gorgeous set a few months ago and I've been trying them out so much. I don't hear a lot about It! Cosmetics brushes from other beauty influencers, so I was a little worried when purchasing these, especially with the price tag on these. I probably wouldn't have purchased these if it wasn't for the fact that they were on sale (although they still weren't the cheapest). The set came with a cute bag plus these five brushes. I love everything about the looks of these brushes from the bristles to the handles. The handles may seem cheap looking to some, being clear on the end, but they're so elegant and expensive feeling. The bristles.. Omg (that's a first for my blog!), they're the SOFTEST! I will have more details below on each brush, but I'm super impressed with these brushes!

Chic Powder

This has to be my favorite from the bunch! Not only my favorite from this set, but hands down my all-time favorite brush for powdering/setting my face. I've never felt a softer brush and just love how this applies powder!

Chic Foundation

I can't say much for this brush because I only used it once. Honestly, I don't use these types of foundation brushes. I prefer a round top, flat top, or Beauty Blender sponge to apply foundation. This brush is soft and if you like these flat-end foundation brushes then I would still try this one out!
This could also work as a great concealer brush, I'm just more of a Beauty Blender fan.

Chic Blush

This is another favorite like the powder brush. It is so soft and I love how flawlessly it applies my blush! This is a great blush brush for building up your blush from natural to very pigmented. I love this aspect because I like the "natural" blush look for day-to-day wear.

Chic Crease & Chic Eyeshadow

These are both nice brushes! I know they're both up in my favorites of eye brushes. Again, they're super soft. The Chic Crease blends shadows in the crease so good, while the Chic Eyeshadow packs on the pigment!

I highly recommend trying out some It! Cosmetics Brushes. I don't believe this exact set is available anymore but, there is a new "Chic" set on Ulta that look pretty and good quality, but some of the brushes are different types. I will link below a look I created using all of these brushes!

Amethyst | Gemstone Series

Amethyst | Gemstone Series  Today is Amethyst. I have to say I started this look a little late in the day and was rushing the beautiful golden hour to get this makeup on and get decent pictures before the sunset.  *If this is the first gemstone look you have seen the others will be linked below, but the idea is creating looks based on gemstones every week and the challenge (not really) using the ColourPop So Jaded palette to create the eye look.  ✖️Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel (Blonde) ✖️Eyes: Mac Cosmetics Paint Pot (Painterly) ColourPop So Jaded Palette (Ametrine, Flourite, & Amethyst) Tarte Cosmetics Big Ego Mascara I started the look with the Ametrine shade right above my crease and blended it out with a blending brush. Then I took the Flourite shade on my inner corner and brow bone as my highlight.  Then, of course, the Amethyst shade in the palette. I patted it on the lid space with my finger before blending it in my actual ...

Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette (Nude) Review

Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette (Nude) Review You may have seen that I received this Doucce palette in my FabFitFun Winter Box . I have actually tried one of their single pans of eyeshadow from a subscription in the past and I did like it and thought it was super pigmented! First of all, I love how compact and cool this freematic palette is. There is small magnets on the back of each shade and the inside of the actual palette is a magnetic board like a Z-Palette. Then I want to mention how I do really like the color layout of this. It is a pretty neutral layout and has shades that everyone has, but the undertone of these are just so different to me. In a good way for sure! They do have other palette options on their website, along with a "build your own palette" option. I will eventually review the highlight (also a bonus!) that came with this, but I want to talk mainly about the 8 eyeshadows. They're just like the single one I received and is very pigm...

Nomad Cosmetics Hudson Valley Palette | Makeup

It had been too long since I got a palette from Nomad Cosmetics . They have one of the best formulas and I absolutely love when they do darker/fall color stories. I still use the Haunted Europe palette all the time and after using this one I know I'll be just as obsessed with it too. This palette is heavy on mattes with only three metallics. I do love these metallics. The formula is buttery and so pigmented plus the shades really compliment the mattes in this unique color story. The mattes are where it is at. They have some of the best mattes ever! Plus these shades?! You have a neutral side with a touch of greens that are all so toned down and wearable. But you also have those beautiful bold fall colors on the other side. While this was a fall launch and a palette I will be wearing every fall I'm sure. I found this palette to be incredible for the holiday season too. I loved the everyday neutral looks to the glam holiday looks that were perfect for holiday outings. The pigme...
