Howlin' For You // Rebel Rouge Labs | Makeup

Howlin' For You // Rebel Rouge Labs | Makeup

There is still so many looks I want to create with this palette. It is just so damn gorgeous! I plan to type up a full blog on my "no buy" experience. That journey was most of this year, but when I was coming out of my no buy I wanted to branch out to some indie brands and I'm so excited I stumbled across Rebel Rouge Labs on Etsy. I know what it is like having a small Etsy brand, but her brand looks to be thriving and that makes me so happy! This palette was limited, but she does have some other super cute color stories and I do recommend keeping your eye on her instagram for new launches. I personally can not wait!
I did a video all about Halloween launches this year (that received so much love so thank you!) and mentioned wanting to get my hands on this sold out palette. Then I reached out at the most perfect timing as someone had just canceled their order for the palette and she had one available. I jumped on it.
I was unsure about my purchase as I felt it was a bit pricier for a 9 pan and the packaging looked standard.. Then I received it. The shipping was pretty quick, the packaging is super cute and although it is standard packaging she makes it very fun in the designs/themes. Plus everything was very secure.
It's the pan sizes for me! OMG when I tell you I was not expecting that. I figured they were the size of ColourPop pans.. Nope, they're much bigger so you really get your moneys worth with this palette. Also the color story is drop dead gorgeous!
I'm a sucker for Halloween items/themes and this won me over for sure. I know I'm blabbering on and you are here for the actual review of the formula, but I had to mention all of the above since it was my first experience with the brand. Last to add was any interaction I've had with the brand owner which has been very good as she is very kind!
The palette has 4 mattes, 4 metallics, and 1 pressed glitter right smack in the middle.
The mattes are so pretty and pigmented! They blend really well and are also buildable. These matte shades are seriously everything.. The metallics are stunning! Literally, a one swipe of heaven moment.
If you know me, you know I don't prefer glitters of any sorts. It is beautiful, but too messy and time consuming for me to work with. So I normally skip it. I wasn't too thrilled with one being in this palette, but I know how many people out there love their glitters! It is a really pretty spooky shade with glitter specks of orange, black, and green.
I can also say it applies and cleans up very nicely for a glitter shade. It is one of the best I have worked with. Again, this is definitely a brand I recommend and I look forward to supporting it again in the future!

Swatches left to right: Beast, Electrode, Abyss, Laboratory, Ghosted, Zoinks!, Shriek, Menace, & Illusion.

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
