KKW Fragrance // Crystal Pear & Peony

KKW Fragrance // Crystal Pear & Peony

This last year I noticed how my taste in perfume had changed and also how my collection was really slacking. I got so used to avoiding my past fragrances and using Sol de Janeiro's body mist every day as a quick go-to. I have a collection in a glass bowl full of perfume samples that I would like to use and try out. If anything to plan out future perfume purchases. I still couldn't help myself when making a couple purchases through KKW Frangrance last year. I wasn't planning on posting about them until I became obsessed and now I find myself looking at perfume more often and even planning my next purchase. This wasn't my first purchase through KKW Fragrance, but since this one is not only an Ulta Exclusive but was also a holiday fragrance I wanted to share it now. So pretty much expect more perfume posts in the future. Haha!

This exclusive I would have probably passed up if it wasn't for the fact it launched when I was perfume obsessed, but I can say I was intrigued by the opening notes of raspberry gumdrop, lively pink pepper, and glistening pear tree blossom. "In the heart, bright blooms are enveloped into the warm embrace of a winter white vanilla crème and golden amber crystals for a signature scent that feels fancy." Sounds amazing right? This scent took me off guard and is a scent I normally wouldn't go for but since having it I've been wearing it nonstop. The scent is fresh, clean, and floral while also being fruity with pear. In a cliche way, it reminds me of a new chapter which is great for the start of a new year. Maybe that explains my switch to this for the beginning of this year. I guess I also wasn't the only one as this sold out and since it was marketed as "holiday" it was taken down once sold out. I've noticed with past holiday launches that they seem to come back months later or even that same time of year the next year.

Kim went with the same style as her other crystal line fragrances, but with the mint color and pear scent, it made sense to go with Aventurine Quartz. This stone happens to be the stone of luck and prosperity. As the card says "Brings harmony to the mind, body, and soul." I love the extra touch of adding three stones to this fragrance package of this stone representing the mind, body, and soul. It is another touch I love about it while using it for a new year too! Although I can't say this is my all-time favorite or a scent I will stick to all year I do think of it as a fresh slate and a new beginning into perfumes and while I'm at it 2020!

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
