JSC x Shane Dawson // Makeup Monday

JSC x Shane Dawson // Makeup Monday

Another collection from Jeffree comes and blows up the internet once again. I was apart of that long frustrating day that led up to me being able to buy both the Conspiracy and Mini Controversy Palettes and one of the Velour Liquid Lipsticks from the collection. This was a massive launch with more than I could keep up with, but from the get-go, I had my eyes on the palettes. This launches success wasn't only from Jeffree and his rising brand, but also the controversial Shane Dawson. Shane has been doing YouTube for years and though I never was into the skit videos, the "food videos," and other things. I did, however, fall into the sinkhole of Shane's conspiracy theory videos. I've binged watched them all a few times and his other "spooky" videos when I fell in love with his content and the direction he was going in. I wanted to be happy for Shane stepping into the beauty world, but like most, I was wanting more Shane content and not what was coming. I'm glad he stuck to his thing and of course, was able to do so working with Jeffree, and the palettes (whole collection) really do show Shane's personality. The YouTube series was a confusing one with all the hints of drama, but I personally loved the behind the scenes of a collection so much more and would love to see that kind of content to continue from Jeffree. I'm glad Shane found another passion during this time, but I hope to see more content that Shane used to post. It's a Makeup Monday so let's get into the makeup!

I've come to love this palette. Not in a regular way, but by looking at each shade and falling in love with that shade. I felt I couldn't love the palette as a whole besides the packaging. The shades overwhelmed me and when piecing a look together I couldn't pick which shades to pair in my First Impressions. I ended up pairing dark shades and adding a little yellow to the inner corner. Every shade is so fun and some are the most unique shades I own, but I gravitate to the same looks with the same shades. Which I usually don't like. What I do love about this palette is the unique shades and even if I need a pairing palette... I'm glad I have this one. My 4 looks 1 palette is up and you can see the looks I created there.

Swatches left to right: Ranch, My Pills, Tanacon, Diet Root Beer, Just A Theory, Spiraling, Conspiracy, Pig-Ment, & Food Videos.

Swatches left to right: Trisha, Cheese Dust, Flaming Hot, What's The Tea?, Diet Cola, Not A Fact, Sleep Paralysis, Illuminatea, & My Ride's Here.

This palette I love the blues and purples, but the rest leaves me scratching my head wondering what is going on here? This palette seems so crazy with the bright blues and purples... I mean even the maroon. I would've liked that shade in the Conspiracy palette better, but even that shade in this palette. It's weirdly placed and confusing. Are we going bold or neutral? I wish he would've picked one. The shade everyone went crazy over I'm sure will make a difference in this palette. If you don't know about this stunning green shade I'm referring to you can see it in the series, but Jeffree is bringing that shade back and "put it back" into this palette while taking Diet Root Beer out... I kind of wish they would have gotten rid of Cry on my Couch and put the green shade there instead. I do use Diet Root Beer when using this palette a lot. You can see in my First Impressions. Fortunately for me, I have bought it already and Jeffree is going to launch that shade as a single too. Regardless I have had an easier time playing with this palette for my 4 looks 1 palette over the other palette.

Swatches left to right: Flat Earth, Cry On My Couch, My Boyfriend's Purse, Controversy, Diet Root Beer, My Apology, Exposed, Cancelled, & The Simulation.

This shade has been a very happy purchase of mine and I'm always happy to add to my JSC Velour Liquid Lipstick collection. The rest of the shades I wasn't really here for because they were mainly metallics. I don't go for that finish so I played it safe while purchasing a very bold shade instead. haha! You can't deny this shade isn't beautiful! Although I was expecting a very cool tone blue red, this one is more strawberry pink-red... Though I wasn't expecting it I'm so glad it is this shade!

What did you pick up from this crazy sold-out collection? XO

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
