Makeup Monday // Zoella x ColourPop Pressed Powders

Makeup Monday // Zoella x ColourPop Pressed Powders

**Before you read this post you must know that in the end, you will come out of reading it very disappointed in ColourPop, but probably more so in me. I've been finding the spare time to type this blog and without realizing what was to come of it. I'm so sad to inform you that the blush and highlight I'm about to sell to you with my words are completely off the ColourPop site. I'm lost, devastated, and truly sorry to still be posting this. If there is the slightest chance they bring these back (because the other products from this collection are still there) or the chance that you may find these items on a seller site. I still wanted my thoughts on these beauties to be posted. Okay now carry on for a heartbreak.

If you would have asked what my favorite makeup step was just a year ago blush would have been near the bottom of the list. The past 6 months (give or take) I have fallen hard for blush. It's become a favorite and when I find a good one I'm attached for a good while. I had my eye on one of Kylie Cosmetics blushes from her 2018 holiday collection that was a bright baby pink, but since I still wasn't completely sold on buying blushes all the time I passed on it and later regretted it (once I was a blush junkie) since it's been sold out for the longest. Then ColourPop came out with this collaboration with the beautiful, adorable personality, and talented Zoella Sugg. I honestly was sold on the breakfast theme because that is so Zoe and I have already done my first impressions on this set, but that was over a month ago. I couldn't even tell you how many times I have used the Pressed Powder Blush in the shade Soulmate from this collection since then.
To wrap up my train of thought on the Kylie blush, the shade looks identical and if you didn't know (oh I'm sure you do) ColourPop is pretty amazing (*but are they still.. kidding.. maybe) and very affordable in the makeup world. I was sold.
When I say this blush will change your life I really mean it. It gives the perfect amount of pink to your cheeks to give you that beautiful flush of color without looking like you walked out of the '80s.
I must say, a little goes a long way with their pressed powders so you definitely can look like an 80's makeup catalog if you go heavy handed or if you'd like that look (hey, go for it). To make this sweet if you buy this blush it will, in fact, become your "soulmate."

Now I do have to give some props to the partner of this blush which is the Pressed Powder Highlight in the shade Swipe Right. If you have seen my first impressions on this in the video I mentioned I wasn't too impressed with this at first. True it is a beautiful highlight, but don't let the pan shade fool you. This highlight pulls pink on the skin. It's not even a duochrome. It's a straight up pink hue.
If you love pink highlighters then you will be sold on this one, but for me, it's not a go-to that I like too often. This past month though pinks are screaming at me and with every palette (face or eyes) I pick up I will find the pink shade. I mean have you seen my full blown out pink look in my Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jaw Breaker Palette video? It's a pink heaven. So with that being said I have been enjoying this pretty in pink highlighter and thought I'd share in case you would too.

Happy Makeup Monday! What products are you loving?

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
