Makeup Monday // Ofra Cosmetics Highlighters

Makeup Monday // Ofra Cosmetics Highlighters

When I tried my first highlighter from Ofra it was an instant game-changer. I'm sure you've already heard about them or may even have one (or a few because they're that good) yourself, but mine is still worth mentioning since I haven't put them down this summer. You may be aware that everything I have blogged about so far has been me hyping up a product or just showing loved products. With that being said I plan to continue that with only showing adored products (and of course other subjects I love) and keeping my blog a very positive place. Although my thoughts on every product I blog about will be honest, you can check out my channel for more raw content that does involve sometimes not being happy with the outcome.
Now back to this blog, I have used these highlighters since the beginning of this year. Why it took me so long to try them is beyond me. I feel like the only time Ofra is mentioned in post/videos is for their highlighters or liquid lipsticks and me being one of those people. Branching out to these has made me more interested in what they have to offer and look forward to trying some more from Ofra. They're famous for these highlighters for a reason. They're literal butter and just glide right on. What I absolutely love is the formula. It's not chunky or glittery (I say that about just the three I personally own) and wears amazingly. They're very pigmented so what I recommend for those who want just a light touch of the highlight is to barely dip in and swoop it lightly on the high points of your face, but I'm telling you if you like beaming highlighters you can layer up for an intense glow. It's comparable to Jeffree's Skin Frost formula when it comes to pigment, but I actually find myself using these more than my Skin Frost. I, unfortunately, have textured skin and with that, you have to be careful because certain highlights will empathize that texture. That was probably the biggest game-changer (and the fact that they're absolutely stunning!) for me with these. They glide on so smoothly whether you want it more subtle or beaming. The range of shades they have also make it nice.
I do want to mention each one I have in my collection with the first one being the one I reach for the most. Rodeo Drive. This highlighter is beautiful. Although this shade would work better with medium-tan skin tones I can say I still love this shade for giving me a subtle glow. It's light enough that it doesn't leave a streak on my face like some highlighters may do to you if they are too dark for your complexion. This just gives the most perfect glow! Rodeo Drive is in Ofra's newest packaging since their "re-branding" on their design. The other two I will mention are in the older packaging.

Star Island is probably the best shade for my complexion. It is a blinding highlight that will literally make you shine. It is stunning! A little goes a long way with this shade and I will probably never have to buy another because of that reason. If you have a deeper than fair complexion this shade will pull more icy on you.

Lastly, I have Ofra x Nikkitutorials shade Everglow. I swatched all three down below, but as you can see this pan has three shades going on. The swatch mentioned is of all three mixed. I personally dip into the two lightest shades. Although it beautiful and so handy to have a highlight for different complexions all in one I can say that if you have the other two you could totally pass on this one (that's if you are fair like myself) because those two lighter shades are so close to the two others (Rodeo Drive & Star Island) that I mentioned above. If you have a deeper than me complexion once again you will probably enjoy this more and even the results of this being mixed.

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
