Roses // Floral Series

Roses // Floral Series

I've always loved "inspo" looks based off series and I've watched plenty of videos of them, as well as seen many on Instagram. I wanted to try my hand at one. Although, I think creating looks from shows/movies for inspiration is really cool, I still wanted to keep my first "series" a little simpler. I've seen so many series of gemstones and really like the idea of it, but instead I thought I would try to do one that I personally haven't seen before. Even though I'm highly sure a floral one has been done. I want to keep the inspo just from the actual image of a flower and create a look based off of it!
A series is such a fun idea and it really is a great way to get creative, especially on the days when you feel repetitive with your makeup and want a change.
For the next couple of months (every other Thursday blog) I will be creating looks from floral images and I think it's perfect for the spring time!
So this series is coming to an end and I was really wanting to play with more blues and orange colors, but I couldn't not do a rose because those are my absolute favorite flowers (and lilies) and look how beautiful they are! This picture looks like it's out of a Alice in Wonderland scene! Today I found out how little of red eyeshadow I have! I didn't want it to be too much anyways, but I feel like I didn't do red enough. The look was still a good one and close to what I was wanting so I'm happy with it. I worked up shades of colors to resemble different shades of roses too. When I think of red roses I still always think of Belle from Beauty & the Beast. So the color gold stands out to me. I added some of the new Amrezy highlight to this look to bring some light gold in to complement the reds.
 Products Used:

I used the firs top (on the left) shade in both palettes, Tempera as my base shade. From there I used Dusty Rose as my transition (from the Soft Glam). After that I started with each shade in my crease working up the pigment of each shade while trying to make it more red. Shades: Red Ochre, Venetian Red, & Realgar (all from the Modern Renaissance).
I took a little concealer to make a somewhat "cut crease" on my inner to middle lid and added the shade Primavera (Modern Renaissance) on top of it. I highlighted my brow bone with Glistening (Soft Glam). The last touch was adding a little shimmer from the Sultry (Soft Glam) shade to the outer part of my lid and adding a wing. Of course, Lashes too!

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
