Maybelline Matte + Poreless // Foundation Review

Maybelline Matte + Poreless // Foundation Review

This is an oldie for sure. I use to love this foundation as a teenager and then forgot about it once I started using more high-end options. I bought this a few months back and I'm not sure what products I used with it, but while applying this it looked so awful I completely wiped it off and restarted my makeup. I threw it in the drawer and thought "what was I thinking back then?!"
Fast forward to now and other beauty influencers are still raving about this drugstore foundation. In particular, Desi Perkins, who always has the best foundation application going on. I decided to try this out again. Not sure what changed, but it applied great! The coverage was there. I actually poured out way too much product! This shade matches me nicely and this wore amazingly! I've been keeping around my forehead more natural and letting the freckles show through, but I worked up the coverage in other places that to me was full coverage! After setting spray this melted into my skin and looked gorgeous. At around the 5 hour mark I did have to dab a little around my creasing prone areas (nose and chin), but besides that it looked great! You probably know by now that my main goal with a foundation is the 8 hour mark. If it can hold up that long, then I approve. The 8 hour mark with this foundation wasn't the absolute best. I feel like you do have to touch up at least once through out the day if you need a full 8 hour wear, but it still wasn't the worse especially for drugstore. I had a video to film so I took this off right at the 8 hour mark, but with a touch up I feel like this could work for even longer! I love the subtle matte finish and how soft my skin looks in photos. I had the same results of using a sponge or round top brush to apply this as well. I'm super impressed with this throwback and will continue reaching for it.

My Shade: 110 porcelain
This foundation is a 9/10 for me!
The Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation is $7.99
You can find it at Ulta.

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
