KKW Rose | Fragrance

First of all, thank you so much for all the love on my last fragrance blog! I am blown away and absolutely love that you enjoy these as much as I do... If anything you're helping me keep my addiction to fragrances. Ha! But I'm back today with another KKW Fragrance. 

Crystal Rose

Top: Bitter Orange Orpur, Italian Lemon Orpur, Baie Rose Orpur

Mid: Rose Concentrate Orpur, Geranium Essence Orpur, Rosehip

Dry: Glowing Amber, Tonka Bean, Rockrose


I have to start this one by saying I never go for rose scents. Not even with bath products. I love a fresh rose scent from actual roses because they're one of my favorites, but the scent in general to wear isn't for me. So you may be thinking, so why did you buy the Crystal Rose scent? Well, a little while ago, KKW had a sale with trio sets, and I was really intrigued by the other two in the set (coming soon in another blog) that I thought why not? I'll try it. Then it came and I did a full-on facepalm. I'm not a fan of it. If you love rose scents you will fall for this one. It is a fresh rose and while I can appreciate the crispness, how well it wears, and the overall quality of it. This just isn't a scent for me.  

With that being said, I have started to experiment with layering/mixing scents. I have gotten this one to work very well with vanilla scents. It's weird to think/picture how that combo is but the sweetness of vanilla really balances the floral notes of rose. It still isn't in season for me, since it's fall now, but I know come spring I will love this combo for a spring daytime scent. If you have a rose scent or floral scent in general that you have a hard time wearing try mixing it with a sweet scent and thank me later! ;) If you don't like sweet scents then try it with other scents you own. I love to do this on the actual skin so it warms up with your body temp. So if you have a day off or you're chilling at home on the weekend try it out! Mis it up and have fun with your collection. xo

  Revlon Colorstay Skin Awaken 5-in-1 Concealer  Revlon has a new Colorstay concealer that I had to share for different reasons. I've been trying it out for the past few weeks and have my shades down and also the way I like to apply it! So I thought I would let you in on my secrets... My fair with neutral undertones skin has done best with the shade fair in the concealer although I'm super close to the shade, vanilla as well. My absolute favorite way of wearing this concealer formula is day-to-day by itself. It's that "your skin but better" look where I only use spot concealer under my eyes and where needed. It blends in without leaving weird patches but wears nicely in place. The only complaint here is the creasing I do experience with fine lines and creases that are on my skin. Skincare & Makeup Haul

Skincare & Makeup Haul I've never done a "haul" on my blog before, but I thought it would be a cool idea plus it would be a sneak peak of things that I'll be trying out for future reviews.  Skincare: I have been loving trying out new skincare items and although my skincare bin is a little full at the moment there was a few things I was running low on and a few things that I couldn't pass on!  I was running low on both makeup removing wipes and micellar water, so I picked these up at Target. I often use a moisturizer from the Simple brand, but I've never tried their wipes or micellar water before. It's cheaper in the long run buying the two pack of wipes, but I do hope these work good!  My nose has once again started getting clogged with blackheads.
