ColourPop x Hocus Pocus Round 2 | Makeup

It's just a bunch of Hocus Pocus!! Ahhh were you excited for round 2 of ColourPop x Hocus Pocus, too? I know not everyone was and for reasons, I agree with. The collection as a whole didn't do it for me either but I still get so excited to see Hocus Pocus anything!  This collection came with more items, that I thought of as pointless. Such as super shock single shades that are similar to shades in the palette or that don't really go with the theme, to begin with. The other main complaint I saw from many was the comparisons of the palette with the previous two palettes that ColourPop had launched... They are pretty damn close. I had actually been eyeing the color story so decided to get it once I saw it was in the Hocus Pocus collection too. I feel for the people that may have bought one of the previous and found that buying this palette too was kind of pointless. I also had the grab what I feel is the best in the collection... The lippies. They killed it this time around! I'm so glad we didn't get three red lipsticks again like they did with last year's round one.

This is a new formula from ColourPop. The Fresh Kiss Lip Cremes feel a lot like their Lux Liquid Lipsticks but instead of having that blur effect, they stay shiny like a traditional lipstick. They come in a liquid lipstick bottle but literally perform the same as bullet lipstick. They don't dry down at all so they're not transfer-proof but are very comfortable on the lips. These deep shades make me swoon. They're gorgeous and were more pigmented than I was expecting. I do think a lip liner would come in handy with these are getting the lip line down can be a little tricky but they fill in the lip beautifully. I'm in love.

Swatches top to bottom: Hello Boys, Tonight We Fly, & Calming Circle

The palette is on the basic side of things compared to the Gather Round Sisters palette that we got last year with round one. That one was amazing... 10/10. So this one is more of a letdown, but still is a pretty palette in whole. I could do without so many neutrals again and like I have stated in my video... We need a red shadow for Sarah! It's been two rounds, I mean come on, just a bright pop of red for her. I kind of feel like she was left out of this collab as we have purple and green which I feel are more Winifred shades and orange deep shades that scream Mary. Sarah is left with neutrals and brown. I appreciate the cartoon effects and had fun creating some "this day and age" Sanderson sister's looks using this palette and lippies. What did you think? xo

Swatches Left To Right: 300 Years, All Hallow's Eve, Moon Is Round, Summon Us, Under The Ground, Bubble Bubble, Twist The Bones, Circle of Salt, Green Newt, Life Potion, Hello Billy, & Fur Black as Black.

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
