Pinky Rose Cosmetics * Bright Lights * // Palette Review

This bright, fun, and colorful (way out of my comfort zone) palette came in my first ever Ricky's Cult Crushes subscription that I got in April. That video is linked below under the first look.
You can see my first impressions of the palette in that video, but first thought was.. "man this is cheaply made." The actual pans literally were falling out of the palette! So packaging? Not great.
Then as I started trying the shades on my eyes it really surprised me with how well they were looking! Since that video I have used every shade besides one of the glitter shades, which is the same texture as the other glitters. The mattes are not only PIGMENTED, but super blendable. When swatched the mattes come off as chalky, but that's not the case on the eyes. As for the glitters, yes GLITTERS. These aren't shimmers they're literally pressed glitters. I've been having a hard time coming up with a review on this palette because of the glitters. I don't know how to explain them, because the formula is so new to me! When you swatch these you think "Oh God, what is this chunky mess?!" "Are these even eye safe?!" "This swatch is awful!"
The list goes on. They're pretty in the palette, not so much in swatches. I had a hard time getting good swatches of them (see below). I can say on the eyes that's a whole different story again. I of course used a glitter glue ( I used Too Faced Glitter Glue)  for this type of formula. You could probably try it with a regular eye primer as well. It needs something wet or tacky to stick to. I also recommend applying your eye makeup (while using this palette) before your face makeup! The mattes don't have bad fall-out, but the glitters can be tricky and messy, just like regular glitters are. Once applied on the eyes, these glitters are stunning! Just like what you have in the pan is on your eyes! These will transfer if you have hooded eyes, like myself, but besides that these are great! The glitters for me are something nice to have in my collection and will be handy for future inspo looks, but not something I would want to hassle with all the time. They're pretty for sure, but very out there. Not something you would reach for all the time. That really is okay though since there is only 3 glitters, 9 mattes, and 2 metallics. I've already said the mattes are great, but there is two metallic shades. They are't bad, but they didn't blow me away either. My typical metallic shades are super pigmented and creamy. These two are more on the creamy side, but not as pigmented as a lot of metallics out there. The colors in this blew me away for sure! So many bright shades and from a brand I had never heard of before. I wasn't expecting a lot out of it. This was definitely a very surprising palette! I understand this isn't everyones cup off tea, it still has colors that intimidate me, but I got it so I wanted to review it. I wanted to for the people out there that love the more colorful palettes, the ones like me that would like to have one in there collection, but definitely want a good one, and because of how great of a palette it turned out to be. The last thing I need to mention is the wear time. It wasn't the greatest that I have, but it still wore pretty decently. I'm not saying it is a awful wear-time for these bright colors, but don't expect it to last 12 hours.

This palette gets a 8/10 for me only because of the faulty packaging.
The Bright Lights Palette is $24.99 and you can purchase yours at Pinky Rose Cosmetics

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
