Bronze Paradise Tutorial + Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation Review

Bronze Paradise + Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation Review

I used this Caudalie Moisturizing Sorbet under my primer because my face has been so dry. I used Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser as my primer base and really focused it on my T-zone (where my pores are larger) and then spread the remaining product around the rest of the face to prime before using foundation.

I've used this Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation a few times now that I feel able to give my honest opinion of how it feels and wears. I've never used a Stila foundation before, so I didn't really know what to expect with their formula. First, I think the packaging is really pretty. I have no complaints of it other than the doppler sometimes not grabbing enough of the product, which makes me wonder how well I'll be able to get any out once it starts getting low. The formula is runny and applies a little thick. I only use one pump for a light glowy coverage, but today I used two. After dabbing it around my face evenly, I used a flat top face brush to blend it in. I'm not going to lie. At first, it does feel a little cakey. Once it was well blended in, it didn't feel cakey or too thick. I would say it's more on the medium coverage side, because you can still see freckles and some blemishes well. A huge pro to me was that, like it says, it gives me a healthy glow look.

After using (my favorite at the moment) tarte shape tape, I have to say my skin looks pretty glowy and flawless. I used some of my usuals: Laura Mercier Translucent face powder, ABH Brow Definer in taupe, & NYX Control Freak clear brow gel.

Since I really wanted focus on a glowy gold/bronze summer look, I used this tarte tastiest Pro Glow To Go palette. I used the chisel shade to contour/bronze, and I mixed the two highlight shades to get make my highlight gold and really pop!

I used the Balm Springs long wearing blush in the shade In Full Swing.

Face Brushes:

XO Beauty Vegam Flat Face, Beauty Blender, XO Beauty Vegan Powder, XO Beauty Vegan Bronzer, Luxie Lush 504 Large Angled, & XO Beauty Vegan Shimmer Tulip.

I took the peachy nude (with the red circle) shade in my crease and then blended it down on my lid and above my crease to start off a base color. For my transition color, I used the light brown/tan (black circle) shade just in the crease and used the excess I had leftover on the brush to upward. I used the XO Beauty Vegan Blender for both of those steps. I then took the gold (green circle) shade all in my crease and lid with my Elizabeth Mott Blending Brush.
With my XO Beauty Vegan Eyeshadow brush, I used the lightest shimmer (orange circle) shade on just the inner to middle lid and brow bone. I went back in with the first blending brush by XO Beauty and made sure every shade was blended together. Then, I took the second brush (Elizabeth Mott) with the dark brown shimmer (blue circle) shade just in the outer corner and outer crease. Lastly, I used a XO Beauty Vegan Pencil brush to take this bright blue (purple circle) shade on the lower lash line. All of these shades are great, but still the key is to blend, blend, blend. They're nice quality at an amazing price! I do use the highlight and bronzer shade often in the summer and they're also great quality.
I skipped on eyeliner today to make my eyes a little less. Sometimes less is better, and since I was wanting an easy summer glow look this was one of those days. I applied some L'oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara and moved on to lips. After setting my face with Mac Fix+ this look is complete.

Maybelline: 015 Born With It

My foundation looked great after a few hours of wearing it, but a little more than that and it started looking a little too dewy (more like oily) and a little cakey-ish. It was a little bit of a let down for the cost. I've worn it before (like I've said) and didn't have the oily problem happen so this may have been how my skin was acting up today or a certain product I used with it. I still really like the glowy dewy finish of this foundation gives my skin and the overall coverage isn't too bad.

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
