My Beauty Must-Haves for Weekend Getaways this Summer

I wanted to share what my beauty must-haves were for any weekend getaway for the summertime. These were taken from a weekend getaway we had this summer. This isn't only makeup, but other beauty items as well. I took my smaller mirror with me because I wasn't sure how the mirror and lighting in the hotel room would be, and this mirror has LED lights built in it. I also like to have a smaller mirror to look at for certain (like applying falsies) makeup items. I lucked out that the lighting and the mirror were pretty good for this stay.

Of course my hygiene items...Degree deodorant and my Pink Sun Kissed body mist.

I brought a travel size of my favorite face wash (Tarte Rainforest of the Sea
Deep Dive Cleansing Gel) , Tarte Maracujá oil,
and of course my Michael Todd cleansing brush. I also brought a skin-cooling mask for this trip. I wasn't having too many skin problems at the time, but I wanted to have a mask on hand in case I felt my skin needed an extra boost. This cooling mask is by Formula 10.0.6 and it's the Keep Your Cool Skin-Calming Gel Mask with coconut + cucumber.

I also brought along some makeup remover wipes by the same Formula 10.0.6 brand. I've really been enjoying this brand and all of their products! I also brought the Kokie nail polish in the shade Heavenly that I mentioned in my last monthly favorites (I'll link below) and this has been on my toes all summer just about!

For this trip, I brought the L'oreal Infalliable Pro-Matte
foundation
along with some of my favorite summer go-to's:
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Marine Boosting Mist, First Aid Beauty Oil-Free Mattifying Gel, Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, tarte tartiest Pro Glow To Go palette, The Balm Long Wearing Blush in the shade In Full Swing, and Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Primer.
I brought my Tarte Shape Tape and Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, of course!

 Eyes:
Ardell Naturals & Glue
eyelash curler
tweezers
ABH Brow Definer
NYX Control Freak Brow Gel
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Palette Vol. 1
The Balm Mr. Write (now) shade: jac
Skone insanely intense tattooed eyeliner
L'oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise

These are pretty basic colors, but for a weekend getaway I don't want too many products. I'll normally go for a natural/neutral everyday look. This Tarte palette is great for that!

I like to have a variety of lip colors, but since this weekend was mainly going to kid-friendly places I wasn't too worried about having a bold lip and stuck with nudes and light pinks.

Too Faced  Lip Injection Extreme
Burt's Bees Vanilla Bean
Too Faced creme lipstick in Naked Dolly
Maybelline satin in Born With It
Tarte tartiest lip paint in Rose

I brought my go-to everyday brushes that I mention a lot in my blogs.
Brushes: (right to left)
XO Beauty Vegan Powder
XO Beauty Vegan Flat Face
XO Beauty Vegan Shimmer Tulip
Luxie Lush 504 Large Angled
XO Beauty Vegan Bronzer
Luxie 205 Tapered Blending
XO Beauty Vegan Angled Shadow
XO Beauty Vegan Pencil
XO Beauty Vegan Blender
XO Beauty Vegan Crease Blender
XO Beauty Vegan Eyeshadow

One of the "natural" looks I wore during this trip.

Amethyst | Gemstone Series

Amethyst | Gemstone Series  Today is Amethyst. I have to say I started this look a little late in the day and was rushing the beautiful golden hour to get this makeup on and get decent pictures before the sunset.  *If this is the first gemstone look you have seen the others will be linked below, but the idea is creating looks based on gemstones every week and the challenge (not really) using the ColourPop So Jaded palette to create the eye look.  ✖️Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel (Blonde) ✖️Eyes: Mac Cosmetics Paint Pot (Painterly) ColourPop So Jaded Palette (Ametrine, Flourite, & Amethyst) Tarte Cosmetics Big Ego Mascara I started the look with the Ametrine shade right above my crease and blended it out with a blending brush. Then I took the Flourite shade on my inner corner and brow bone as my highlight.  Then, of course, the Amethyst shade in the palette. I patted it on the lid space with my finger before blending it in my actual ...

Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette (Nude) Review

Doucce Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette (Nude) Review You may have seen that I received this Doucce palette in my FabFitFun Winter Box . I have actually tried one of their single pans of eyeshadow from a subscription in the past and I did like it and thought it was super pigmented! First of all, I love how compact and cool this freematic palette is. There is small magnets on the back of each shade and the inside of the actual palette is a magnetic board like a Z-Palette. Then I want to mention how I do really like the color layout of this. It is a pretty neutral layout and has shades that everyone has, but the undertone of these are just so different to me. In a good way for sure! They do have other palette options on their website, along with a "build your own palette" option. I will eventually review the highlight (also a bonus!) that came with this, but I want to talk mainly about the 8 eyeshadows. They're just like the single one I received and is very pigm...

Nomad Cosmetics Hudson Valley Palette | Makeup

It had been too long since I got a palette from Nomad Cosmetics . They have one of the best formulas and I absolutely love when they do darker/fall color stories. I still use the Haunted Europe palette all the time and after using this one I know I'll be just as obsessed with it too. This palette is heavy on mattes with only three metallics. I do love these metallics. The formula is buttery and so pigmented plus the shades really compliment the mattes in this unique color story. The mattes are where it is at. They have some of the best mattes ever! Plus these shades?! You have a neutral side with a touch of greens that are all so toned down and wearable. But you also have those beautiful bold fall colors on the other side. While this was a fall launch and a palette I will be wearing every fall I'm sure. I found this palette to be incredible for the holiday season too. I loved the everyday neutral looks to the glam holiday looks that were perfect for holiday outings. The pigme...
