Tarte [Make Believe in Yourself] Mystical Dreamy Blues Tutorial

Tarte [Make Believe in Yourself] Mystical Dreamy Blues Tutorial

I recently did a review the Tarte Make Believe in Yourself  eyeshadow palette. In that review I shared some looks that I created with it and will be sharing each of those tutorials with you.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream.

I started this look by prepping my skin with First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I used this because my skin was so dry! I followed that up with Physicians Formula Primer Argan Wear (with coconut and argan oil). I used that as my primer today.
I also used some color corrector concealer from the brand Aurora in the shade Pistachio. This is a new favorite of mine! I love how well it covers up any redness or blemishes. This was mentioned in my last Ipsy blog (I'll link below).

EOS lip balm
I moisturized my lips with some EOS lip balm and then applied my foundation. I used L'oreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation in the shade 101 Classic Ivory. I followed that up with the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in the shade fair. I really like the formula of this concealer, but I wish the shades were better. Their "fair" is no where as light as my shade tape.
While looking for a highlight to use, I came across this Doll 10 H2Glo cream highlight that I haven't used in forever. This used to be a holy grail for me (as you can tell!) and I love the natural glow it gives the skin. I used Milani Prep+Set+Go Transparent Face Powder to set all of my liquid/cream products in place for the day.

Anastasia Beverly hills Brow Powder Duo in the shade Taupe.

I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in the shade Taupe to fill in my brows. I added Nyx Control Freak Clear Brow Gel to keep them in place.

I used the Hikari Shimmer Bronzer Flush as my bronzer/blush for today. This can be a little intense with the pigment you get from it, but it blends well and I didn't need to add blush ( I like my blush light and not too bright). I topped my face with Stila All Over Shimmer Duo (in Kitten). I used the lighter shade. I put this just on the high points of my face and over that Doll 10 highlight cream.

the Balm Voyage:Kuwakaribisha

I took Silk Creme (white circle) from the Jaclyn Hill Palette and used that as my base/crease transition color. I made sure I blended this up the eye. I then put Mystic (purple circle) from the Tarte Make Believe in Yourself palette and lightly blended that into the crease over my transition color. It was a little intense at that point and I wanted to incorporate a little brown into this look, so I took Pooter (black circle) from the Jaclyn Hill Palette and added a little of that to my crease. I had to take a lot of time here to blend it well. I sprayed a little bit of Mac fix + on my brush and went in with Dream (white circle) from the Tarte Make Believe in Yourself Palette and patted that all over the lid. I tried keeping this more to the outer corner of the lid, but it's not a big deal if it gets too far over in the inner corner because next I went in with some concealer. I used the same concealer that I used on my face today (Maybelline age rewind) with a flat eyeshadow brush just on the inner lid part of my eye. I then blended some of that Silk Creme shade just over my inner corner (on the lid where I put the concealer) to brighten up that corner a little. I touched up my blues a little and used the shade Kuwakaribisha from the Balm Voyage as my highlight on the very inner corner and brow bone. The last I added to this eye look was just a little of that bright blue (Dream) on the lower lash line.

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
