Recent New Primers // Makeup

I've been on a primer mission these last few months and I honestly haven't been disappointed in any of these options. I wanted to share my thoughts with you and this is coming completely from someone with combo-to-dry skin, but I'll include which ones I think would work for your skin type too. I can say most of these work better for normal to dry, but there are still options here.

I got both of these deluxe samples in an Ipsy add-on months ago. They're both in tubes (even the full-size bottles)  that just squeeze out. The nice part is they're handy to travel with and you can cut the tubes to make sure you get every last bit of product. The full-size tubes come with 1.06 fl oz which is slightly more than the usual 1fl oz for only $12!
I had never tried (or heard of) Unicorn Glow so I was excited to try this brand. The Hydrating Primer comes in the tube with blue writing and is the clear gel swatch on the right. It is very much a gel moisturizer primer, yet it sinks right into the skin and leaves a soft, slightly tacky base to the skin. I don't find my skin to be super hydrated with this primer, but It holds my makeup in place and does create a nice base.
Since it isn't too intense I think any skin type would like this one.

The difference with this primer is the opaque look and thicker consistency. The tube has pink writing and the swatch is on the left. It blends into the skin without a tint. It reminds me of the Benefit Porefessional primer when it comes to the application. It leaves more of a soft touch feeling to the skin while filling in pores for a smooth base. Even though it is labeled "longwear" I see the same wear time with both of these primers.
I would recommend this one for anyone with larger pores or if you are more on the oily side and would prefer this type of primer over any hydrating primer.
I was honestly super impressed with both of these primers and Unicorn Glow has made my "Indie list" to try more products from.

This product is a texture that was new to me for a base/primer. It is definitely a balm and no matter how much you use your face is going to shine! It is beautiful on it's own without foundation but does make a nice hydrating base. The hard part is although it is beautiful even when my skin is super dry I have a hard time getting my makeup to wear all day with this as a base. It's great for a few hour makeup wear, but not ideal for all-day wear makeup in my opinion. This product has 1.05 oz for $32 (on sale on Ulta online right now for $24!). I do like this product but still, stand by saying it is a little too intense of a base product. If you barely wear makeup, have dry skin, and you're looking for a glowing skin product this is a product for you! If you are oily I suggest staying far away from this product as a base!

This is my go-to moisturizer with priming benefits. It is lightweight while keeping my face hydrated throughout the day. Plus it is Good Molecules and their products are extremely great for your skin. Skincare, moisturizer, and primer all in one! This product sinks in like a moisturizer and isn't too tacky, but it does keep my makeup in place all day! There is 1.7 oz. which is incredible and it is $14! I also like the packaging on this one a lot too. It is kind of like Stila Cosmetics primers that you can see the base rise with each use plus it has a pump. I honestly feel like any skin type would love this product too.

This is the newest one I have tried, but I have fallen in love with it! This primer has vitamin C & banana powder-inspired pigments to brighten your skin and that it does! This is another skincare, moisturizer, and primer trio. My face glows and is super soft with this primer. This is another one that isn't tacky, but my makeup wears great! The nude/orange tint sinks right into the skin with a sheer glow left. This is the only one that has a scent that stands out. It is very citrusy and not too strong. The downfall with this product is the fact that it has less product (1 fl oz which is the standard) than the others and cost more at $38!
This is again another product I would reccomend to all skin types, but to be aware that there is a scent if you're sensitive to them.

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
