Vanity Planet Aira Facial Steamer | Skincare

Vanity Planet Aira Facial Steamer | Skincare

I feel like this is the most boujee skincare purchase ever. Haha! This was definitely a "she made me buy it" situation. I seen Lauren Speed-Hamilton (You may know her from 'Love is Blind' on Netflix.. I was obsessed. Ha.) using this facial steamer on Instagram and was like "I have to have this."
Lauren's skin is flawless and I had already heard about how much a facial steamer could really change your skincare game.
This is my first purchase from Vanity Planet, but won't be my last. These are currently on pre-order, but they were in stock when I bought it and the turn around time was amazing. It is high quality and does amazing! I didn't know what to expect with the price tag.. It's a lot, but also not bad at all for what you get. I wasn't sure if it was going to be cheaply made, but like I said, it is high quality and the steam is powerful. The set up and clean up is super easy too! It is a no battery product so you just plug the cord into the outlet. It is a nice size because it isn't too big, while getting the job done. It fits perfectly on my vanity or bathroom counter. I wipe mine down after uses, but they do recommend distilled/bottle waters or any filtered water would work so that you don't have build up over time from regular tap water. I bought this super large Smart Water and it works perfectly and has lasted too.
The back (seen below) sides up and out. It has a cap that untwists to secure the water with no extra messes. If you fill the water to the Max. line you get a full 15 minute steam session, while the Min. is a quicker session if you don't have a lot of extra time or you're like me at night and just want to go to bed. Ha! After sliding the tab of water into the back you just tap the motion button and you can hear it heating up. It sounds like a bottle warmer (for you parents out there that have used one) or a coffee maker. Once heated it blows out a fine, but full warm steam that feels amazing on the skin. It is so relaxing and has become a favorite of mine to unwind.

The nozzle that the steam comes out of is adjustable to the height you are sitting and it also comes with two extra head attachments that have little filters in them. They aren't necessary unless you're into oils. Just like an essential oil diffuser, this steams the oil out so it's more like a two-in-one sensation of the scent being around you, but you're also having it lightly applied topically this way. I usually just steam my skin before going into a mask, but I tried this Eco Calm & Destress oil and it was super relaxing while making me feel energized. I almost wished I didn't use it before bed, but will be a morning go-to.

I highly recommend adding a facial steamer to your skincare routine. I have been only using it for a few weeks (I try to do every other day, but I miss days too) and see a HUGE difference in how my skin takes in products I put on my face after steaming. My pores continue to get better and I know a huge factor with that is being able to steam my pores so they're open when I apply my masks. They sink in all the way instead of just sitting on the surface. Plus the added bonus of having your skin look bomb and dewy AF right after steaming. XO

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
