Lunar Beauty Strawberry Dream // Makeup Monday

Lunar Beauty Strawberry Dream // Makeup Monday

Lunar Beauty has been a brand that has caught my eye from the beginning. I'm usually a little uneasy buying straight into a new brand at first and give it some time. By Manny's launch of the palettes with Medusa on them, I knew this was going to be a brand to watch because of how creative he was with it. When Strawberry Dream launched I knew I was sold on it, but life ran away from me and I always forgot to order it. Once again the launch of Moonspell had me so intrigued with the beauty of this brand and not to mention there were never any bad reviews on this brand. On Black Friday I happened to see Manny post about the sale and knew it was time, but I just purchased the products in this blog on that day. I have done a first impression with all three and a 4 looks 1 palette with Strawberry Dream and I thought it was time to discuss it here on my blog since I have already ordered another palette from Lunar Beauty!

Where to begin with this gorgeous palette? I was blown away by the packaging again of course. He is so creative with every launch I swear! The shades are stunning and what I wasn't sure was how they would perform. I mean it's creative, beautiful, and all that but, will the formula be nice?
He is not playing with this formula. I was shocked by the first use of the mattes blending effortlessly and then applying the beautiful metallics. Literally shook at the quality from the get-go.
With each look, I did I fell more in love with not just the palette, but the formula as well. This led me to buy another palette from Lunar Beauty (coming to my channel soon) and I'm sure many more in the future. I believe this is a pressed pigment palette because of the pigment these give off and I did notice minor staining on my lids with a couple of the shades. It was nothing too crazy though. There are 9 mattes and 6 metallic/glitter shades. Blue Diamond is such a unique shade that I'm obsessed with. I wore it in two different looks in my video and loved the fact that it is icy, yet baby blue at the same time! If you have been considering trying a Lunar Beauty palette and haven't made the leap, do it!

Swatches left to right: Blue Diamond, Sweet Dream, Ruby Skies, Horizon, Nightfall, Cloudy, Skyline, Sunrise, Sunset, Strawberry Moon, Lightning, Pink Flash, Blue Sky, Haze, & Storm Cloud.

I feel like Sailor Moon with this Moon Prism Powder! The formula is hard to explain besides saying it is buttery and smooth. This is the lightest shade he has in the line of these highlighters (so there are deeper shades for deeper skin tones) and although it is gorgeous I don't really care for gold shifts in my highlights. This one has a light gold shift to it. I wish it was more champagne than gold, but the actual formula is so gorgeous.

I only picked up one lip product this time around so I can't speak on the liquid lipstick formula, but the gloss is really nice. It is one of the best glosses I have tried. It feels more oil-based of a lip gloss which makes it nonsticky and very moisturizing while being glossy. This Dreamy shade is a light pink tint and is perfect for every day.   The packaging once again is stunning and I love the detail put into it. Like I mentioned in the first impression video the diamond in the top of the lid reminds me of The Sims haha. I LOVE the applicator too. It is so soft and larger so one dip in is enough.

I'm overall super stoked about Lunar Beauty and can't wait to try more! XO

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
