Hipdot Cenote Palette | Makeup

 Hipdot Cenote Palette | Makeup

I got this palette in my Boxycharm. I was liking the color story, but I wasn't so sure about how this palette would be. I had never tried a Hipdot palette and had heard mixed reviews. I've been eyeing their collab with Kesha for a while now, but the unsure feeling of "trying a new brand" crept up on me so I held off. While I find the mattes to be pretty pigmented and blend well when first applied they do seem to fade as you wear them. The metallics on the other hand, wear well and they're beautiful.. Well the formula I like. There seems to either be a inconsistency with the metallic formulas or there is two different formulas of metallics in this palette. One seems more glittery while being on the sheer side, while the other is full metallic pigment and thats the one I prefer. I think it's the same forumla and it's just the shimmer thrown in that dulls the pigment down. It's actually hard to explain, but thankfully it is only like two shades in the whole palette. You have 6 mattes and 9 metallics that balance this palette very well. This has been a harder one to try out because I have mixed feelings each time, but from the point of view when my look turns out bomb I think I would try another of theirs. I feel it also may be my comfort zone with this palette color story that keeps me second guessing. What are your thoughts on this one? xo

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
