Skincare Review/Current Skincare Routine

My skincare routine has been a tad confusing lately, but I will do my best to explain these products, why I use them, and how they've helped me.

I've been using this Soniclear Petite Antimicrobial Sonic Skin Cleansing Brush by Michael Todd Beauty. What I love about this brush is how soft it is, its antimicrobial, rechargeable, water-proof, 3 speeds, and gentle. Although it is really gentle, it cleans your skin extremely well. I noticed a difference after the first wash! I use this brush morning and night. After using it on the 3rd speed for awhile, my face got a little tender. I blame it on how well it really cleans the surface, but I recommend switching up the speeds. Since doing that I've had no complaints.

Morning Routine:
My mornings are pretty simple. I've been using a lot of Formula 10.0.6 products lately and I haven't been disappointed. I've been using their Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser with passionfruit and green tea. This face wash is very refreshing and really wakes me up. It cleans my face well, even after my nightly routine. It smells amazing too which is a plus! If I plan to do a mask I skip this next step so that I can apply it on fresh washed skin, but if I don't plan on a mask I've been using this Hey Honey Good Morning honey silk facial serum sample that I got. I really love it and plan to purchase the full size. It makes my skin so soft and I always notice a glow-like change when I use it. It's also very nourishing.

For face masks, I have quite a few. Like I've mentioned in a previous blog, I have very problematic skin. I wouldn't even know how to describe my skin type because one day it's extremely oily, and then in a few days it's extremely dry. I have a few good days here and there where it's just normal. I also have bigger pores and use so many products to help, but because of this I tend to get blackheads more frequently and it's awful! For these reasons I keep a lot of different masks handy. These Formula 10.0.6 masks work really well and smell so good! I love any peel masks to help clean out my pores and any dead skin left over after cleaning it. Their cooling mask is amazing for when I have really dry skin or a lot of irritated acne breakouts. It's very soothing.
Since those peel masks aren't too intense (not like the charcoal ones at all!) I still have to use a detoxing mask once in awhile to really clean my pores out. I love mud masks for how good they are for deep-cleaning the skin. I haven't tried any blackhead masks lately like I used to. It really is because of how strict I've been about my routine, and I'm glad I have cut them out for the most part. They were always a little too much for my sensitive skin. The last masks I've been using are the Tony Moly sheet masks. I base these ones on whatever my skin is needing at the time. These are great to use while taking a relaxing bath!
After having dry skin for awhile my face
gets a lot of dry patches and it's rough. That's
why I love exfoliating facial scrubs.
These two are great!
Promise Organic coconut milk
daily facial scrub
Organic Surge daily care
perfecting face polish.

I really recommend this moisturizer for
any skin-type. It's hydrating, but not oily.
I normally only use this right before
applying my makeup.
To remove makeup, I've been using these Formula 10.0.6 Wipe Your face Off  facial wipes. Like their other products,
they smell great and work well with my skin.

Nightly Routine:

I use tarte rainforest of the sea deep dive cleansing gel. So far I've enjoyed it. It was a little too
harsh for me to use morning and night, so
I use it only at night. With this and my
morning face wash I think I may have my skin a
little more balanced.

With having problematic skin, I get breakouts or random blemishes all the time. These two items are life savers!
I've been using Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean deep pore cleanser/Acne Treatment for awhile longer than Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. I use the acne treatment for breakouts.. Like when I wake up and the blemishes have taken over my face. It's a little intense for my sensitive skin, but works so well. I can only use it as a "treatment" though for just a few days, once a day. The Drying Lotion on the other hand is meant to be used when you wake up with that one huge blemish that greets you on the tip of your nose or right between the eyes, but mainly for the blemish here and there. After applying, I sleep with it on to dry them out. Both are great products and I recommend them to anyone with acne issues.

My other nighttime usuals are...
Formula 10.0.6 P.M. Perfecter over night
hydrating cream.
This is used when my only
skin issue is how dry it is or it's actually being normal.
This is very hydrating, light feeling, and sinks right
into the skin.

Tarte's Maracuja Oil. This item is a little
pricey, but is a holy grail for me. I apply
it right after washing my face at night. This oil is
soothing, helps with cleaning up blemishes,
and altogether makes my skin feel great!
It's a must have for sure for me!

Physicians Formula Argan wear Argan Oil.
Just like the Maracuja oil, I wear this overnight.
This oil is used to brighten my skin and even out
my skin-tone. This really nourishes my skin, and
I wake up with glowing healthy skin.

I know it may seem like a lot, but with the issues I have with my skin I've really become addicted to changing it up and finding what works for me. I hope this helps you and I really recommend  all of these products! If you have some "holy grails" in your skincare routine, let me know what they are and I'll have to try them out!

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
