Kylie Cosmetics Summer Collection // Makeup Monday

Kylie Cosmetics Summer Collection // Makeup Monday

This summer came and went super fast. Now I'm waiting for the weather to do the same thing! haha. Really though this heat is horrid. I'm ready for everything fall, but I wanted to share some more collections that I got during the summer with you. Starting with this insanely gorgeous set from Kylie Cosmetics.
I have to confess the packaging won me over, but I'm completely obsessed with the products as well! Although I love the sleek look of Kylie's products I have to say, the outer packaging with this collection is way cuter!
First, off we have the Under The Sea Palette that displays coral on the outer unit and then the actual packaging is a baby pink mix with a touch of peach and of course her signature bold KYLIE on the front. These shades won me over. There is a lot of neutrals going on here, but after using this palette I really loved them and took advantage of them with the pop of color I added to each look.
While my summer was filled with the brightest eye looks I've ever done I love a good natural moment where you don't have to work hard for the look. The shades blend into a simple natural eye and paired with a gloss and touch of highlight... Yes, please!
You can achieve that light gold lid moment, that pop of color on the lower lash line, or maybe even a full-on glam bronze eye with a pop of color on the inner corner. There is plenty of looks to go for including glitter since there is a pressed glitter in this palette.
It honestly is the perfect vacay palette!
The formula performs great but is mainly (besides the pressed glitter shade) the same as any previous Kylie palettes which I love. You have 4 matte neutrals, 3 shimmer metallics that are different shades of golds, 3 color shimmer metallics (stunning green, coral pink, and purple!), 1 of her pressed metallics (that are so crumbly, but omg so gorgeous applied!) in a brown bronze shade, and the last shade being the pressed glitter that has reflects of white almost diamond-like with a touch of very light green to it!

Swatches left to right: Be Pacific, Hook You In, Can I Kelp You?, Mermaid Mama, Seashell Kisses, Abandon Ship, My Treasure, Shore About You, Boss Beach, Salty Sweet, Welcome Aboard, & Sea Pearl.

With her summer collection, she released her first (I'm pretty sure this was the first, but don't quote me on it. haha) Shimmer Eye Glaze formula. I tried out the beautiful blue Aqua Mama shade in my first impressions video and I wasn't obsessed. I thought it was a pretty shade don't get me wrong, but the formula didn't wow me. After trying it again I was liking it a lot more! Single shades are so hit or miss for me anyway because I'm a palette girl for sure! After this collection she launched her birthday collection (blog coming soon!) and with that I was able to add on another shimmer eye glaze to my order for only $10 so I jumped on it and got another from this summer collection. The shade Ocean Child is stunning for the inner corner and makes any look pop! Although I'm still not obsessed because I know I probably still won't reach for singles a lot these are still beautiful and wear really well.

Now we are left with the lip products that I'm always sucked into. Her matte lipstick formula is so bomb that I most usually grab a shade from each collection. This one has become my new go-to nude. It is absolutely stunning! I got the shade Beach Bum and it's a pretty pinky nude that is so flattering. It also comes in that sleek pink peach packaging. The formula is matte, but comfortable on the lips. If you aren't familiar with her matte formula it also wears really well for a traditional lipstick. While I was at it I picked up her newest lip formula which is called Lip Blush in the shade Bikini Bod. First of all, the formula is amazing! It's a lot like ColourPop's Ultra Blotted Lipstick in a way but is a thicker consistency. It works like a mixture of a liquid lipstick since it dries matte, but also a stain because of the blur effect and longevity of it. Secondly, the shade is so good! It's a perfect "your lips, but better" moment on me and I'm here for it!

I hope you're having a great Monday and the rest of your week! What did you pick up from this collection? -XO AllyBrianne

Beauty Tuesday

For my first " Beauty Tuesday", I thought I would start it off with my May Ipsy bag. If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample size beauty products. This June marks two years that I've received a bag. Even though some bags are hit or miss, I've continued to be subscribed so I can try out new items. I feel like Ipsy has really upped their game this year and I've loved every bag I've gotten. I'll be sharing my bag with you every month with my own personal review of the bag itself, and each product in it. I'll also blog about how certain makeup wears, feels, and my own opinion of the product. The same for skincare products, and how they work with my skin type.  I hope you enjoy my May 2017 Glam Bag (If you're interested in subscribing to Ipsy's monthly Glam Bag, I'll post the link down below). I'm more into Ipsy for the actual products and not the bags, but I'll admit the ba

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018

Ricky's Cult Crushes // May 2018  You may already know, but I moved all of my subscriptions to my beauty channel: AllyBrianne   You can check out my unboxings there of all of my monthly and seasonal subscriptions.  The reason I'm posting this blog today is because I just got this months Ricky's Cult Crushes in the mail last week. I planned on filming a quick unboxing to post Sunday, but my weekend got away from me so here we are. This is only my second month receiving this subscription. I'm up in the air about it honestly. Last months ( Ricky's Cult Crushes // April 2018 ) was a good box, but sadly the pans in the eyeshadow palette kept falling out! You can see all that business in the video! I was disappointed because the shadows were great.. The packaging not so much.  If you don't know what  Ricky's Cult Crushes is... It is a $11 (now $14, I'll explain) monthly subscription that has mainly beauty items. This is a subscription throug

August Ipsy Glam Bag

If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly subscription bag with 4-5 full and/or sample sized beauty products. I've been getting one for two and an half  years  now. I don't know what took so long this month whether it was Ipsy or just USP
